I am planning a trip for my fiance and myself for 6 days at ASMu during the August free dining deal. Is it worth 80 dollars to add the water park and more option for the 6 days? The only thing I might see us doing is the interactice theme park and MAYBE checking out pleasure island once (we don't drink or tend to party much) because I have a feeling if you do the water parks you kind of have to make a day of it, and we want to spend the majority of our time in WDW since it is fiance's first trip and I havent been since a child. Any help would be great from people who have done these things. Thanks!

We really enjoy the water parks. That really is the only thing we use our options on though. When we go to the water parks, it is a 1/2 day for us. We get there as soon as it opens and leave around lunch. It is least crowded at these times for us. Although we enjoy the water parks, I wouldn't be crushed if we missed them. I think that there is plenty to do without the options. By the way, we usually go for 10-12 days so there is plenty of days for a couple of water park days. If we were going for less than a week, I am not sure that I would add them. Ok, I have decided. My vote is that you would probably be perfectly happy skipping them.

If you intend on going to the water parks and/or Disney Quest more than one time during your stay..it would be worth it....if not/or not sure....I'd pay the admission price when you get there. P>S> I just talked my two sis's who are joining DH and I on our Oct/Nov trip out of the +part of the tickets....as an AP holder we can get them a discount if they decide they want to go to a WP or DQ......The choice would also depend on what time of the year you are going down......hot weather....why not take advantage of thebeautiful hotel pools?

Only add the water park option if you are crazy about water parks and plan on going at least twice. If you just want to hit the parks all day, then just the resort pool should work for you at the end of the day.
Have a great trip! :sunny:

I would say no. I added that option to my seven-day pass last October, thinking it would pay for itself when I went to Pleasure Island and Typhoon Lagoon. But because of Hurricane Wilma, the weather cooled off so much that it was too cold to go to TL! So all we did was go to Pleasure Island once. Grr! Wish I had thought it through before buying my pass. As another poster said, unless you plan to go to the water parks or PI at least twice, it's not worth the money. You take your chances with the weather!

Thanks everyone! I love getting opinions from people who have experienced these things. What about the interactive theme park? Has anyone been, and if so what did you think? I think if we decide to go to that then the extra 40 per person will be worth it so we can do that and pleasure Island once. Thanks!

My family loves the waterparks. The first year we went to one as a filler for a half day, they liked them so much that we have gone more and more each year. We are planning next year's trip and guess what, the kids have asked if we can only do 1 day, maybe 2 of theme parks. But they want to spend a lot of time at the waterparks! We have gotten to where we like them just as well as the theme parks, if not better!

I think both TL & BB are well worth going to. When it's hot you can still have fun, the slides are awesome and you stay a lot cooler having fun on rides in the water than standing in a hot park all day (not that we don't love all of WDW, we do!). We just happen to really love the water parks! And if you're looking for an adrenaline rush of rides, trust me some of the slides in the waterparks are awesome.

If you do go to a waterpark, be sure to arrive when they first open in the morning, you will feel like you almost have the place to yourself.

Disney Quest can be a lot of fun and if you use that option and one of the others, you should be getting your money's worth. I would look info on Disney Quest on the WDW website and read about it to see if it's your cup of tea. Pleasure Island has changed so much since I last went there about 3 years ago I can't really comment, I've just heard it's not quite as fun. But it may just be when my SIL when. I used to love the Comedy Club.

Contradicting an earlier poster, we've discovered that bad weather days make perfect water park days.

Most people stay away when the tempeartures are low but, the water is heated and the absence of crowds means that you can do EVERYTHING multiple times in half a day.

What I would recommend though is, if you decide to get the plus option, pay for one less park day and commit to spending one day on water parks, DQ, etc.

Have a magical vacation!

We love the water parks also but if I was only going for six days, I would just pay for the water park out of pocket. It would probably be cheaper so you should check this option. I never thought about the weather aspect as we have always gone in the spring and had good weather. It would annoy me greatly if I paid extra for the water parks and the weather did not cooperate!
Have a great time.

Don't do the add on!!

Disney quest is noisy beyond and not all that great. Being that you are there only 6 days,,,and that goes very fast,,,,,

skip water parks, DQ this time
have tons of fun in the parks

swim at your resort pool

and next time
venture into the water parks

No, I don't think it's worth it. 6 days isn't a very long stay and you'll be busy at the parks.

One thing to consider is that DQ will be closing in the next year or so, they are going to replace it with a ESPN club. I read this on www.jimhill.com. I have been to DQ and enjoyed it a lot. It can be a great evening thing after AK closes.

I'm not big on waterparks but we went to TL and I was impressed. Much better than any waterpark within driving distance of Chicago that I've been to, including the Wisconsin Dells parks. They also have EMH every morning I believe so you can get in a few of the good slides in early.

To me and my son, the TL wave pool was worth the price of the ticket alone. Easly to do 3-4 hours or so there and still do something late afternoon or evening somewhere else.

As for PI, I do like to have a few drinks but I just couldn't get into the artificial atmosphere here. Plus there is a lot of construction going on now so that may have hurt. Only place that appealed to me here was Raglan Road. I'd probably rather walk around World Showcase and have a drink here or there. I do wish they could keep it open later though.
