Someone just told me that neither TL or BB would be open during our stay the first week of November... Could this be true?? I always thought that at least 1 water park was open at all times... We've never been in Nov. before, but I know every other time of the year we've gone at least one has been open (even in late Jan./early Feb. when it's been very chilly!).

Any information would be much appreciated! I am really hoping to visit one in Nov., as I've heard the weather is still pretty warm this time of year!

Happy trails,
Sarah

That doesn't sound right to me. In Nov. usually TL is closed but BB is always open. I would check with Disney. Their web site is only giving info through July. I would bet the person who told you that misunderstood.

We have gone to WDW in Nov 3 times and TL is always closed and BB is always open!:teeth:
I believe the hours are 10am-5pm.

When we were there last November TL was open and BB was closed - that's why we want to try BB this next trip.

To let you know, In November Typhoon Lagoon is usually closed for rehab.
But, this pass year 2003 by the calendar I printed out last year because we are going this November. It was open 10-5. Blizzard Beach was closed for rehab. So, the only thing I can say, Keep your fingers crossed!! I am hoping Typhoon will be open this year too!

I was there Nov 8-15th, 2003 and we went to TL. BB was closed for rehab at that time.

Sounds like we can pretty much count on one of them being open, which was what I was expecting... Although I'd kind of prefer to try TL because my kids are young, either one would be fun, I'm sure! It didn't seem right to me that both would be closed the whole trip, and I'm relieved that no one thinks this will be the case. We'll be there Nov. 3-8 (Jersey Week) and are already starting to get excited!! How was the weather when you guys were there last year, Nicoal13 and Jill?? Hope it will be warm and sunny! When we were in Florida in Feb. it was on the chilly side and even rained for a few days... YUCK! Definitely not water-park weather!!

Thanks again for the information,
Sarah

Sarah - the weather was wonderful! 80s and sunny every day except for one day that it rained a little bit off and on.

The day we went to TL it was 85 and gorgeous!

Have a great time :)

We were there November 10-17 2003 and spent a day at Typhoon Lagoon while BB was closed for rehab. The weather was great and the crowds were extremely low. It was a fantastic day!!

I think you can definitely count on one of the parks being open, but who knows which one!

The historical pattern has been that Typhoon lagoon would have its rehab first (Nov-Dec?), which was then followed by Blizzard Beach (Jan-Feb?)

In 2003-04 the rehab scheduled was switched. In addition to the usual water park rehab tasks, they did some additional work on Typhoon Lagoon. As I understand it, they reorganized the entry to the park which added some construction days to the rehab schedule. Given the additional work, I believe they wanted to get BB out of the way first and then start on TL. That way if the TL rehab ran long, they wouldn't be re-adjusting schedules for the BB rehab.

That said, rumors have been floating (get it?) for a while that Typhoon Lagoon may actually be expanded next year during the rehab period. If you scour the Rumors and News board, you will no doubt find mention of the expansion, which would basically consist of a couple of new attractions in the park.

Taking this additional bit of info into account, it's really hard to tell what the rehab schedules might be for next year. You can count on one of the two parks being open at all times, but which park it might be during the winter months is yet to be determined.

We were there 10/30-11/7 in 2003(so encompasses most of your days). The weather was picture perfect. It was warm, still somewhat humid though. We didn't care-- as I go to Florida for the heat!! Remeber your bug spray-- the mosquitos were out FULL force!! We had 1 day (11/5) where it had a Florida power storm from 2:55-3:30pm-- just long enough to cancel the parade at MK. Then the next day it drizzled all day long. We went to Universal that day-- and every picture has the lovely poncho's in them!! The crowds were really managable too!!

i hope BB is open when i go on 10/15-10/20. ive been to TL and its nice but i would really like to go to BB for once.

I really appreciate all the information about the water parks and the weather!! Early Nov. sounds like a GREAT time to visit WDW! Hope we'll get to visit one of the water parks -- I've heard they're awesome!! :)

Take care,
Sarah
