We are leaving for WDW on Friday :Pinkbounc and we will probably be going to the water parks for the first time. I like water slides but I don't like the ones that drop you in a pool in the end, I only like the ones that just sort of stop at the bottom. Can anyone advise me as to which of the slides don't drop you into a pool? And how about lazy rivers? Does either park have a lazy river? Thanks in advance :wave2:

TL has a lazy river it takes you all the way around and you can hop on and hop off to go to different areas. Sorry can't help with other stuff.

By drop ,do you mean a free fall type drop or slide off the end into a pool? If it's the first then WDW doesn't have any like that.If it's the second then the best way to judge is - if you have to use a ring of some sort then you slide into a pool,if it's just you & your body then you just slide to stop. Most of the multiple person slides should be fine, can't tell you about the new ones at TL but the 2 person ride at the rear of Mount Gushmore occasionally people do fall out but the ater isn't very deep.

I dont recall any drops, and both parks have a lazy river ride.

At the end of all the slides, can I stand up, or do I have to swim? How deep is the water?

I have been on all the body slides (no tubes) and tube rides except Crush n Gush which is new. When you get to the end you do empty out into a pool of water but I was able to stand in each of them and I'm 5'5. I believe they are about waist high. When I looked none of the sites actually tell you how deep the water is at the end they just tell you about the slide itself, I asked the staff at TL. You can also see the people coming down and how high the water is on them when they stand before you choose to go down. But I was able to stand.

Blizzard Beach has some huge slides that end just like you say, not in a pool, you just kind of stand up and walk away. And it has a lazy river ride.
