water parade ?

i have seen it mentioned here several times.. being able to see the
water parade from the epcot area resorts ..

what is this ?

It's not the Epcot resorts. It's the Magic Kingdom resorts. There is an Electrical Water Pageant that goes by the resorts. It's several barges with lights- there's a flag, a sea serpent and a few other things. It's cute but not a big thing. It lasts just a few minutes.

You can see it from the shors of the Polynesian or Fort Wilderness. Three years ago we waited at Fort Wilderness until I think 9:45pm and out it came. Honestly it's a nice we did it and check it off our list thing, but not something so amazing I have to see it every year. We caught it again last year while we were on the monorail and my kids oohed at it, but forgot about it after that. It's kind of a hidden attraction thing.

There is some history to the water pagent, or King Neptunes Parade. It has run since WDW opened. While there have been updates to it, they are slight... the music has changed over the years, but the floats themsleves are original.

It was a Walt Original, it makes a loop around bay lake and 7 seas lagoon. As I recall from trivia, the usual guy that drives the lead boat is the employee that has been with Disney Company the longest. Much like CoP there is always the rumor they will do away with it... and much like CoP it runs everyday.

We love watching this parade. We try to catch it at least once each vacation down in WDW. The first time we saw it (1997) was from the beach at the Poly after dinner at 'Ohana. We have also watched it from the beach at the WL and the boat docks at the GF and waiting to leave the MK one night before getting on the boat. It is a tradition that we like to see each time we go.
