Is the water parade just lit up boats or are Disney characters on them too? Also, where at Wilderness Lodge should we go to see it?

The water parade are lighted figures, but not disney characters. I can remember a sea serpent and King Neptune and fish. Seems to me it finished up with flags and red white & blue stars. A few rooms have views of the lagoon, but we always just walked down to the beach.

I had seen this from the contemporary and from the main house at the Poly. This year we were at the lagoon when it started and it was so much mroe fun! It seemed a lot closer to us than we thought it was.

More impressed with it this time than with the other few times I have caught it from a distance.

I think in view of the state of the world at the moment...the flag portion was especially meaningful.

The water pageant parade has changed very little since I first saw it in 1989 but I still enjoy it just as much. Its just a short show - several flat barges tied together with a net matrix of lights that light up to form different characters set to music. Its just one of those Disney extra touch sort of things that make staying inside the park that much more attractive.

Another place to watch from WL is at the south end of the pool complex by the Geyser - the Octopus barge is cute. One night coming back from MK, I saw it from the MK/WL/FW launch and it was neat to see it from the boat

Thanks
Jason
