We will be in WDW on June 9 and want to watch the water parade from the beach at the Poly (we are staying at POR). Is this possible? I heard you can't do that anymore. Does anyone know for sure or where I could find out?

Yes, you can watch the electrical water parade from the beach at the Poly. I just did it a few days ago and also last October. Just grab a lounge chair or hammock, sit back, and relax. The parade starts at the Poly at 9:00 p.m. each night. You can also watch the MK fireworks from there, if there are fireworks that night.

If it isn't crowded, you probably won't have a problem. If it is crowded, you shouldn't do it. There are signs that the area is for Polynesian guests only. I am going to the Polynesian in June and I fortunately got a special rate because of the POFQ closing, but the rooms at this resort are not cheap and paying guests probably would not like having their hammocks and chairs taken by guests from other resorts. But again, if it isn't crowded they probably won't say anthing.

We stayed at the Poly in July 2000. We had a ground level room and walked out on the beach every night to watch the water parade and MK fireworks. It was great! Even though other people were always there, I would not say it was crowded. There were some chairs and swings but we often just sat on the sand. Have fun!!!

We were touring the GF and watched it from the balcony across from the elevator Great view
