My DH wants to take our DS for a ride in the mouse boats while DD and I have tea at the Grand Floridian. My DS will only be 19months at the time of our trip. Is this too little to ride? I know there was a question about the size of lifejackets. If we bring a lifejacket that fits him will he be able to ride? What's the minimum age to ride the water mice?

I don't recall ever seeing age restrictions for renting Water Mice, only driving. The smallest PFDs ("lifejackets") that the marinas give out have a "crotch" strap that should keep your little one secure inside it.

I don't know if there is an age limit for younger kids enjoying the water mice. I do know that the new mice are faster and there were alot of accidents over the past few weeks with them. They now changed the age of the driver (16 to be alone, 12 still but with an adult as a passenger)!

Hope this helps, although it didn't quite answer your quesiton.

The water mice are a blast. Don't really go that fast and there is always a life gaurd or 2 circluling around on their boats. I believe that they will be ok. Have fun.

Just got back and finally did the Water Mouse for the first time. It was a lot of fun and they did not go very fast at all just fast enough to be fun enough for the little ones. Have fun!!!

If the driving age has changed, then we must change our plans. Our 12 year old will have to ride with one of the adults. That creates another problem. There are 5 of us, with the younger 2 being 8 and 7. So, 1 adult with the 12 year old, 1 adult with either the 8 or 7 year old. Where does the 3rd child ride? Is there a limit of 2 persons per boat?
Thanks!
