I know my dh and dd would love to rent one of these. My concern is (and I realize I'm being over-paranoid) is crashing, they just seem so zippy to me, and I'm envisioning a bunch of tourists who aren't used to boats and such renting them and crashing into each other. Is there something I'm missing or anything I should know? I thought this would be a fun new activity for the next time we went (if my daughter isn't going to get crashed into:rolleyes: )

A couple of years ago, we let my then 12 year old DD and 14 year old DS rent water mice several times duing a vacation (they were covered by our plan). They each took a water mice out by themselves several times and I took one out with my then 8 year old DD. We all had a great time and did not have any wrecks. The CMs in the Boston Whalers police the area fairly well and wiill ground or take away anyone who is being reckless.

The water mice can be a great deal of fun.

I was not at all concerned about my husband and son crashing. If you stand there and look out at bay lake, there are quite a few out there, but it's not crowded to the point that people are crashing.

Just got back from the Poly. Hubby and son took out the Water mice. Hubby was actually a bit bummed because the Mice are somewhat speed controlled. I don't think they could go over 25/30 miles per hour. So, I don't think you need to be concerned!

Hello! I don't think you have anything to worry about. The CM's are really good about monitoring the water mice and I think they are speed controlled for this purpose. They are so much fun!
