Water mice age requirements?

My little girl is three and saw the little water mice boats on her Campout Disney video and wants to ride in one. Is there an age or height restriction on passengers in the boats with an adult?

I don't think there is an age restriction with an adult.

No age restriction to be a passanger just for drivers!!! We had a ball this past Sept!! Rent the ones on Bay lake they are faster then the others around Disney property!! (So I was told by a CM)

Yes. I think I can help. We stayed at the CR in August and rented the boats one day. You have to be 12 years old and 5 foot tall. My 10 and a half year old is already five foot but he was not allowed to drive. you have to be both 12 AND 5 foot tall. I hope this was the information you needed.

Thanks, DisneyVa., for the info. My 5-ft. tall 11 year old will be disappointed I'm afraid. We'll be there in January and he'll be 12 in April -- think that's close enough?

Dear Dawn,
Boy that sounds really close. I guess you could either beg with the attendant at the boat rental desk, or just say that your son is twelve. We thought briefly about that idea but realized that we would be sending the wrong idea to our son. We wanted to teach him to always tell the truth even if it means missing out on something. Your son though, sounds like he will be a lot closer to the age requirement. By the way, my son ended up having a great time anyway just riding! Good luck and have a great trip!

Maybe we'll try the begging and if that doesn't work -- oh well!! That just means we'll have to go back to WDW again sometime, doesn't it!?!
