Water in the parks - saving money?

I happen to hate the flavor of the water at the parks -- I know some people don't notice, but it's very noticeable to myself and my family. Has anyone tried the Brita water bottles with the filters in them in order to change the taste of the water at the parks? I'm tired of buying water there, so I didn't know if there was a way to carry a bottle that filter the water out of the fountains.

And I know you can get "filtered" water at the counter service places, but I still taste the funny taste in the ice. Even in the soft drinks. UGH.

Thanks!

We used Bobble water bottles with the filter caps and found them to greatly improve the taste of the water. We were surprised at how well they worked, and they come in a variety of sizes and colors. :thumbsup2

We also had Garden Grocer deliver a case of water, since we were ordering some other stuff too. Next year we may just have some water delivered by Amazon, since it is nice to keep some bottles in the fridge in the room.

OP, I sometimes can taste the difference in water from place to place. But to me, saving money and getting ice water free at CS and Kiosks is the way to go.

I do have a filter bottle, but it's so much trouble to drink from, I never use it anymore (it's like sucking milkshake through a skinny straw). Mine is not a Brita, they might work better. Mine is some other fairly expensive brand that I can't remember.

That is what we used and they worked great. We got them at Target.

I would never lug a water bottle around when I can get water free whenever at the CS places. We cannot taste anything in the filtered water, but if anyone does, just add some flavoring.

For a change, not that I have a problem with taste, I keep *pure lemon* packets with me, and just add a tad from the packet to give some lemon flavor. I never add the *whole* packet of anything as it's much too sweet for me. I like to still feel like I'm drinking *water* as it satisfies me more. I drink very few sodas when we're out and hot.

My husband bought a hydration pack that we fill with ice and water ourselves and drink all day from. We only needed to refill it one time on an extra hot day and we got water from the CS for free.

I'm very water picky, and this is what I do. As long as its coming from a dispenser the water is fine, and true
Lemon or crystal light do wonders if its a little off.

I did stop by Walmart and get water for the room and to make my coffee, but in the parks I drank the bottle I started the day with then just got CS cups.

Our problem is when we brought water into the parks one time, it gets warm so quickly (we have gone in spring/summer). I am not a good water drinker, but it needs to be cold. I would sooner buy a water or get a free ice water that doesn't taste great than either lug a reusable bottle (that then needs to be stored somewhere, and we are past the stroller days) or drink a disposable bottle of hot water.

We use a CamelBak Groove waterbottle. It has the built-in filter and you cannot tast that awful sulfur taste. If it's really hot outside, we get ice from the nearest counter service and add it to our waterbottle. When we're not drinking from it, we just put it in the backpack.

We have a couple of the old Brita bottles with the individual filters. We also have insulated water bottle holders for each person. When we're at WDW, every morning we each take a regular full bottle of water in our holders, and the empty Brita bottles. When we need to, we go to a CS place and ask for a couple of large cups of ice water. We then pour those into the Brita bottles and filter the water into our individual bottles. It's really nice to have our own water anytime we want it without having to either lug a bunch of water (and we're big water drinkers!), pay exorbitant prices, or stop frequently at CS spots.
