Water Hoses

At other campgrounds, I have only used a "naked" spigot to fill up a pot or wash basin. For tent camping, do I need a hose? Can I simply disconnected t the provided hose? What kind of hose do bring?

To me it would be easier to have a hose, really of any length for getting my drinking or cooking water from. Even if its just 6 foot long as it gives you some flexibility. I would recommend the standard white or blue potable water hoses usually sold at Wal Mart or other camping supply stores.

I spray even a naked spigot in a campground with a bleach mix that I keep in a spray bottle. Then flush the water for a minute then hook up my water hose. Sounds like overkill but never know who or what was on that spigot last.
