Water from Walmart

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you cannot order anything that says "store pricing may vary".

What other items have you ordered? Looking for some ideas!

What shipping method does WalMart use? FedEx, USmail, UPS?

Hmm, maybe so-- not sure on that one-- certainly you have to order something that is available and in stock online. I listed everything I ordered in an earlier post in this thread (mostly all snacks and "Home-Free" delivery items), but here it is again:
granola bars, trail mix, fruit snacks, water, diapers, wipes, and weight loss shakes (what I drink for breakfast).

Everything was 97 cent shipping, but I bought enough "Home Free" items that I got shipping free, which saved $9. I also bought an inflatable bed rail for my toddler, but that was not free shipping and I just found out Disney can provide bed rails and stepstools if you need them!! Gah! I wish I had known that!! $24 + $6 shipping down the tubes! I may not end up using it and return it when I get back. BTW, shipping was through FedEx on everything.

I see other people ordered gatorade and apple juice, which is a good idea. Bulky or heavy things are great to order and have delivered and not have to pay to ship them yourself or bring them with you, like the water, shakes, gatorade, diapers...maybe cereal... I am sure there are other good ideas too!

I ordered a case of water last Wed in the am. I thought about it later thinking I should just have ordered 2. For $4.50 it's better to have more than we need than have to buy it there. So in the afternoon I ordered a second case of water and some apple juice for my son. The second order arrived in 2 days. The first hasn't arrived yet, but we don't get in until Friday. So I guess it depends on where the shipment is coming from. Order #2 shipped from Tampa, so not a far trip at all. Order #1 doesn't give me an origin at this time, but at least I know 1 case arrived already.

So, you order from walmart.com just like I would from home. But, instead of shipping to my home I just ship to my resort. Correct?

Just an update-- we are just back from WDW and my order all arrived! One box when we arrived June 5, 2 boxes on June 6 and one on June 7. (I had ordered several things-- all on May 31, so it took between 4-6 mail days for the order to arrive.) Water, food and diapers arrived June 6, so 5 mail days for those things. All in great condition-- AND the POP century staff delivered the boxes to my room while we were out! It was awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I gave all my extra water bottles to a family walking to their room on our last morning and they were more than appreciative. Thanks, Walmart!

Thank you for posting this. I'm headed down to DW in early August and I never thought the shipping charge for water was so reasonable. Definitely doing this.

This is wonderful since i'll be ordering water and diapers too! I've been reading about putting your reservation confirmation number on the shipping label (if shipping from home) so how does this work when shipping through Walmart? Did you just write in your resort address and that's it? Thanks!

If you look back in this thread, I told how I addressed my label and it worked fine. I did not have room or a place for the reservation number OR arrival date. The name and correct address is the most important part!

We got back the 12th and it worked great for us too. We ordered water and groceries with the spend $45 get free shipping. Came in two boxes and was great to have so I didn't have to pack it in my luggage. Thanks so much for suggesting this!!

You can order anything you want as long as you pay the postage. It is probably shipped from the nearest distribution center, not from a store. This is no different from any other "on-line order" but Wal-Mart has a good price on shipping cases of water, and who knows how long that will last.

Just thought i'd let share my experinece with walmart. I ordered 2 cases of water to be delivered to all star moves a couple weeks ago. They messed up my order and only shipped one of them. I couldn't call them to let them know because the phone number was nowhere to be found. Instead they make you email them. I emailed them and a day after they gave me the number to contact them. By that time they didn't have time to ship my other case to me. They couldn't rush ship it. So, they refunded me for the extra case. I really wanted that extra case though. I wasn't happy that they messed up my order, and I hope everyone else has better luck with them.

thanks for posting your experience, ..I have a short trip planned and I am concerned that they may actually miss my days there, which would really be a waste of $$ since we are traveling by plane to our next stop rather than driving...so if it shows up late or last day, Ill just give it away...
I may call staples and see if they have any idea regarding the sold out situation...I have never had an issue with them and any delivery and have used them many times, did not have a great experience with the other shopping place mentioned here on the DIS ...

I ordered mine a couple weeks before my trip so it would have plenty of time to get there. So, it was waiting for me when I arrived. I didn't get it until that night though (that's when they delivered it to our room).
