I read about people shipping water from Staples or Costco, but this is people that live in the states, can people that live in Canada do this? Or what other ideas are out there for getting cases of water to the resorts? Thanks

I asked DH about just putting a luggage tag on a case of water, he doubts we'd see the case again. :confused3
I was going to order water from gardengrocer.com but *think* now I'm going to get lexan bottles that we can strap to our fanny packs. The mgr. at a Disney store told me to do that and use the resort fountain to get water as it is filtered. I'm still undecided and may pack a few bottles in each checked bag, just in case.

We use the Brita bottles, but sending a case of water is going to save you how much?? You would be better packing a couple of empty bottles to cart with you and buy a large container of water from your resort and refil the bottles.

I found the water from the fountains at WDW not bad at all. We generally take a couple of bottle with us in the morning and keep refilling them.
I already have a one and half cases packed in plastic bags in two small bags. This way it gives me extra space for souveniers on the way home:thumbsup2 .

Some recent info on bottle versus tap water. I'm posting because this thread prompted me to do find out some more information.

I'm not for or against either choice. So you flamers please take a deep breath.

I'm sure some folks just prefer bottled water. When I'm at home I drink from the tap, my kids prefer bottled water.

Bottled water is our choice when we travel just because the local water tastes different from at home.

Not to mention when in countries who's water filtration might be below standards we are accustomed to.

I heard bottled water is very expensive in the parks and was also thinking of bringing some from home. With airport security so tight now Im not sure if I want to take a bag of bottled H20 across. I was thinking about trying those filters you can buy that screw onto the end of the tap. I think they are about 25.00. I thought of the Britta pitcher as well. If anyone has tried the filters that fit on the end of the tap, please let me know how they work. I am wondering how well it gets rid of chlorine taste. Thx

We ordered a case of water from Garden Grocer as well as some big bottles to keep in the room. We drink a lot of water and it would have cost a fortune to buy that much in the parks.

We have the same problem but from reading the Disboards
I hope to use what I've learned.
We are staying a POR 9-15 thru 9-23rd and the 1st day we are there we are
going to take the Boat to DTD and go to Hess Gas Station and
buy a Case there and bring back to the Resort.
We will either bring a small rolling suitcase to carry it in
or a couple of sacks (the case of water will be separated in half)
to make it easier to carry. I have not done this yet but will
be trying this on Saturday Night so I will post as to how easy or
hard this is to actually do.
Last year I ordered from GG but had to order several other items
just to get the order cost enough to place.
This year GG has raised there minimum Order amount and
I cannot justify ordering items that I don't really need just
to get delivery. :cool1:

Friends of ours returned from Pop Century and Wal-Mart had a shuttle to and from Pop. I don't know if this applies to other resorts.

We used garden grocer however I have seen a lot of complaints about them on the board recently...maybe they changed hands?

Huh? I have never heard that one before.

I don't like the taste of WDW water. Another option is buy 1 bottle of water (2$) then refill it throughout the day and use those Crystal Light or Kool Aid singles packs to mask the taste.

I used Garden grocer in August and was very pleased. We ordered water, a few breakfast items as well as beer and wine.

A shuttle to and from POP to walmart?? Can anyone else verify that . or can anyone tell me where the Walmart is in comparison to POP. Thanks

This is news to me too. Why would walmart only have a shuttle to POP. Wouldn't they want to capitalize on all the other resorts too?

I e-mailed staples, you have to have a billing address in the states to order water or anything for that matter from them.

Yes, you are right there is no alcohol listed on the site. However, if you specify in the additional comments that you would like something they will be able to get it to you. You must be specific. for example ask for...
1)bottle of bacardi white rum 26 onces
2)25 bud lite in cans
as opposed to case of beer or rum.

The price will not show up on your internet order so if you are worried than phone them directly.

One drawback is that because of the age limit on alcohol I believe you must be there to receive it. I might be wrong though. Good luck with it. It was totally worth it to have it delivered to my door. I had planned to head out in a taxi myself to pick up stuff but my husband quickly realized that it was a $30 round trip and that I was bound to buy more than just the food items so in the long run having it delivered was by far the cheaper option.
