Does anyone have suggestions for EXCELLENT quality water bottles?

I am probably THE pickiest water drinker in the world. It's at the point where that I won't drink anything but bottled and there are bottled brands I won't drink because I can taste the plastic-y flavor that the bottle gives off (Deja Blue is the main culprit). But that being said, I do drink about 60-80oz a day.

When I'm at Disney, I'd prefer to buy a couple of the gallon bottles of water from the grocery store that I can just refill a water bottle. It's cheaper that way for me. And heck, if I can use it for everyday use - even better.

But anyways...every single plastic water bottle I have ever bought is gross to me. Especially that Brita fill-and-go that so many love! It's like I can taste the plastic seeping in to my water (Can you tell I am weird yet? ).

Does anyone have good recommendations of water bottles that seem to have no flavor, are heavy-duty and a good size? (16oz+)

Our first trip we had no idea the water tasted so badly in the parks and elsewhere, we bought for at least $25 a day in bottled water, next trip we got the Brita Fill'n Go and to us that was like night and day, only because we had tasted the water before hand.

We also stopped at a grocerystore and picked up a big box of water, think Aquafina, that we brought with us to our resort. We used the Limo-service with a free grocery stop.

Swiss Gear makes some that are really good. I bought a set of 4 that hold 32 oz each for around $10 at Sam's club. They're made so that they don't leach any tastes or odors into the water/drink you have in it. If you don't belong to Sam's, you can get them online. I found this one at Amazon.com: 20 Swiss Gear Lexon Water Bottle A bit pricey, but I'm sure you can find them cheaper with some searching, either online or maybe at a local camping store.

We got a few from the Target Dollar Spot that looked JUST like that. We used them all week at Disney. We filled them with ice before leaving the resort and then asked for cups of ice throughout the day at any counter service place that served fountain drinks. The ice was free and it melted into clean- good tasting water.

I don't remember seeing deja blue here in Jersey but if you drink form their 20 oz bottles
if that's what the come in, maybe you can throw a few in your backpack for on the plane and just reuse the bottles and refill with some gallons if you can get them at the store in orlando.

In my experience the Nalgene bottles are the best, REI or LL Bean should have them and they're usually around $8. The other suggestion is the Eddie Bauer ones from Target, they're a little less expensive and it's usually a lot easier to get to Target. I've only seen the Nalgene in 32 oz. The Eddie Bauer ones come in 16, 24, and 32 oz.

Both can be clipped to the sides of bags, and the lids are attached to the bottle so there is no need to worry about losing them. The only downside is that they're not insulated. However, if I'm heading out all day, I fill and freeze about half the night before and it works fine. Which means sticking it on the top shelf of a mod or value fridge should do the trick.

You know, I remember a couple of years ago hearing about Nalgene bottles......so I just looked them up and they might be exactly what I need. And 32oz is PERFECT for me.

I have one of the Target bottles but the wide mouth drives me nuts, and the lid gets in the way. But you're right - it doesn't have that icky taste.

Thanks guys! I forgot about the freezing the bottle tip as well poyfect! I always rent a car, so the grocery stop is no biggie for me.

If you want to avoid plastic in any form (even the Nalgene will eventually start leaching the chemicals) REI sells a metal bottle from Switzerland called SIGG. Its like a small old fashioned thermos without the glass inside. Its very light weight. To the OP, I'm not surprised you can't stand the various bottled water bottles, we have a friend who works in the bottled water industry & told us that the plastic bottles are horrid & you should never save a partial bottle or ever ever refill a bottle. Drink it up right away & then toss it.

Personally I like my Sigg bottles, I can put whatever in it and it wont absorb the taste so I can use it for juice and water and whatever... as for getting good tasteing water... what do you drink at home?

At home I drink water from my fridge filter that is built in. But the great thing about purewater2go is that it is portable. Since I cant take my fridge with me, it's easy to fill up anywhere and have great tasting water.

It's hit and miss. If I'm grabbing a bottle of water, it's Aquafina or Dasani. Otherwise I have home delivery service from Sparkletts. I'm fine with most of the drinking water in gallons at the grocery store (it's usually less than a dollar a gallon). I'll just pick them up at a Publix on the way in from the airport and keep them in the fridge in my room

And they have "easy sipper" caps that close off most of the wide mouth and provide an extra layer of leakage protection.
