Hello. I have been following the threads on water bottles and filtered bottles but I just don't think I want to mess with all that and I'm worried about the taste. The tap water where I live is some of the best which makes us super picky when we travel. I'd rather stick with trusted bottled water but there's the issue of keeping it cold. I usually freeze them and that is pretty frustrating when you really want to gulp away your thirst. Otherwise, they get warm pretty fast in the FL sun.

Anyone every tried those insulated sleeves or have a recommendation for using a certain brand?

I haven't tried them myself, but my solution for having cold water is to bring a wide-mouth refillable water bottle, and fill it throughout the day with ice water from a counter service restaurant. Saves money, since you don't have to buy water, and you also don't have to lug around multiple bottles of water all day.

I noticed in Feb the water from CS had that icky Florida taste. In the past years it did not but this time it did.

I used the nyoprene type meant for beer bottles last summer. It was perfect. We froze the water bottles overnight and put them in the coozy before putting them in our day bag. Kept the "sweat" from soaking our bag. Def. recommend. :thumbsup2

I got a bobble water filter bottle. I'll see if it helps get rid of the icky FL water taste.

I got a thin sleeve which I was able to attach to my park bag. I think it had a hook. I can't remember; I left it in my Owner's Locker. I'm pretty sure I got it at Target.

It held the water bottle, and kept it outside my bag, so the condensation wouldn't get in my bag.

However, I found that my bag got too heavy and started to bother my shoulder and back. I gave up on carrying around a bottle of water.
