I usually carry our water in a backpack, but I'm hoping to save time in the security search lines as well as my back, by letting everyone carry their own drink. I tried at Publix and Eckerd's yesterday and had no luck finding either the holders you wear on your waist or the ones you strap on your shoulder. Any ideas where I can find them and what department of, say, K-Mart they would be in? Does anyone know the price of the ones they sell at the drink stands in the parks? Thanks.

I did see at the sports authority and belly bag with a water bottle on each side, I love the idea. I am going to disney in August and already bought 4 britta fill and go bottles. I was hoping that these bags were going to go on sale before I need them. The cost was $19.99 each. I also saw the same ones in target for $27.99. These prices are high right? The idea is great. You do not have to carry such a large knapsack that weights you down and kills your back. Good luck with your search.

the straps they sell in the parks are $3.00 each
we bought 2 at our first park - MGM - at a stand near RnR.
They held our brita bottles -
i believe each park sells them and each park has their own logos on the strap

I agree that buying the bottle straps in the parks is the way to go. It is so easy and convenient. Just stick the bottled water in the freezer, attach to the strap, and go. Each park has their own design and I'm hoping that they'll have new ones for the 100 year celebration.

I have a hard time "operating" the strap bottle holders they sell in the parks. I got a nice nylon holder at Old Navy. I've seen them at Eddie Bauer. You might look at a sports store, hunting type store, or walmart.

Thanks, all, for the great information!

If you have little kids I found fanny packs at Walmart that have a water bottle in them for under $5 each! You might look into that they were on clearance in the baby section.

I got one at Old Navy as welll.. works great so far. It is much easier to use than the one that they sell in the parks..and much sturdier

I just bought insulated bottles with a strap at Kmart. They were located near the coolers and camping stuff. They had a quart size for 6.99 and a half gallon for 7.99 and they came in different colors. I haven't used it yet but it seems to be very sturdy. The bottle removes for easy cleaning. Have a good trip!!

We met friends for lunch at Pecos Bills. They were saying they were going through alot of money buying bottled water. The FL water tastes different than their home water, just not what they are used to. We liked having our Brita bottles and our straps.

Last year we bought a back pack with a pocket for a 3 liter flask. You can freeze and boil the flask. Out of the flask comes a tube with a bite valve. You bite and can then suck the water out of the back pack, on the idea of a camelback but a lot cheaper. Mine sprang a leak and I wrote to the company TFO in Utah, and received 2-3 liter flasks. We half fill the flasks with water, then freeze, fill the rest with water, cold water all day.
