Watching Wishes from Polynesian beach?

Is this a good spot to see the fireworks from?

Thought we'd go to the beach after our 5:15 Spirit of Aloha dinner/show at Poly.
Which I think is 2 hours long -yes?

Wishes is to start at 8 pm that night, will this work? Is the beach near where they do the Spirit of Aloha.

Is this a large beach? Is it crowded with others watching the fireworks? Is it worth our time - as in the view is really something special from here?
Or is it pretty far off in the distance?

Have never been to Disney, so I know nothing about distances from place to place etc. Going in Nov. just hubby & myself!

We watched the fireworks from the Poly beach this past week. The music wasn't very loud but the fireworks were still very nice. The girls enjoyed playing in the sand. There wasn't much of a crowd but we didn't encounter many crowds anywhere last week.

It was never crowded. Very romantic ... try to snag a hammock. Well not that secluded but you could grab a kiss or two

I could not hear the music at all but it was February and a little chilly so maybe my hood was up and I was just trying to snuggle closer to DH but the fireworks themselves were BEAUTIFUL!

I don't even want to attempt to see them from within the park. Five minutes after we were walking to our room. No people to fight getting out of Dodge!

You will just LOVE seeing the fireworks from the Poly!

I only know answers to a couple of your questions. We watched Wishes from the Poly beach in May and it was great. The boys played on the beach while we waited. We got there early enough (had dinner at O'Hana) to nab a couple of lounge chairs. It was not at all crowded, and it was very restful to watch from the beach. Someone told us that they pipe in the music, but we never heard it--we may have been in the wrong spot for this. But we have seen Wishes from the MK several times, so this was a different treat for us. It was rather cool that night, so I wish we had a jacket, beach towel or blanket to wrap up in.

Since you've never been, you really ought to watch them at the MK. It is very magical--not just your run of the mill fireworks. Regardless, you'll be in WDW and it will be fantastic!

HI, I agree with gtwns. I loved watching the fireworks from the beach. BUT you have to see them from MK as well. Entirely different experience - and much better from MK. You only see the high fireworks from the beach, no castle fireworks, no music. YOu will love them at MK.

Oh YES, we'll be seeing the fireworks from MK too!!!!

We are going to Mickey's Christmas party in Nov. So we'll see regular Wishes at 6 pm that night & then the "special" ones later that night! Oh I'm SOOOO excited about going.

I just thought while we are at the Poly at night anyway, maybe we should try it from here. (We are staying at Pop).

Love reading the comments about Wishes from Poly's beach! Getting a hammock sounds awesome! Or a lounge chair would be nice too.

You can see the top part, but they don't blow you away the way they do in the park. It all seems very far off and just not all that exciting.

Kind of like watching the 4th of July fireworks from the house of a friend who lives nearby. You get to skip the traffic, but lose out on the actual experience. That's MHO, anyway.

We stayed at the Poly for labor day weekend.

The fireworks from the Beach were terrific - it was nice that you could hear the music piped in, although very quiet.

Do NOT Substitute these for the real thing!
Two days later, we watched WISHES from Main Street. It was a totally different, and very moving experience.
I am so glad we decided to view the fireworks at the MK too!
