Watching Wishes from Poly beach if you aren't staying there??

Is it allowed or OK for those not staying at the Poly to watch the fireworks from the beaches there? We are hoping to have dinner there on our first night and I thought watching the fireworks from there would be fun, but not sure it this is allowed or not.

Sure you can. There are lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach. Just sit back and watch the show. No one will ask where you are staying. We go there to watch wherever we stay. Enjoy !! Good luck !!

Anyone can watch Wishes from the Polynesian so you don't need to be staying there. However some people say that if you do watch Wishes there that you should not sit in the hammocks, because they are meant for the guests who stay at the Polynesian. There are no signs which say that, so it's one of those un written rules and when you think about guests who stay at the Polynesian should have the 1st chance to sit in them.

My DD and I have been there many times to have dinner and watch the fireworks from the beach whether it is in a hammock or beach chair or from the lobby and nobody has said any different. It is very serene and relaxed and they pipe the music from the MK in so you get the full affect plus you don't have the crowds.

Thank you so much. I had my heart set on the Poly this time, but it didn't work out. So I thought maybe we could experience a bit of it by eating there and seeing the fireworks one night. We tried for the luau, but it was sold out.

I am not saying that you should not sit in them at all the whole time your there. I guess I should have said after a while if no one would be in the hammocks then go ahead and use them. This way you gave a fair chance for a possible guest staying at the Polynesian to use them.
