Watching wishes from a a restaurant in May

There's not really any restaurants in MK that would work for watching wishes. Are you sure you're not thinking of Illuminations in Epcot? If that's what you really meant then I would say either the outdoor patio at Rose & Crown in the UK (athough the canopy on the lakeside can obscure some of the higher fireworks) or at La Hacienda de San Angel in MX (indoors but with large windows). The right timing can be hard to get at Rose & Crown so book early - and they won't guarantee you a seat outdoors. It's also hard to know what time - I'd say at least about 90 minutes early & plan to linger & drink after dinner so that you're not screwing the server out of a table turn...

For watching Wishes, California Grill at the Contemporary Resort and Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian are the two possibilities. Since the menus change from time to time, I usually choose based on which menu is more appealing (6 months in advance, but that's another discussion). We make our ADR for about an hour before Wishes starts.

We prefer watching WISHES from the TOTWL deck over watching from Narcooses and CG. We have usually have dinner at the WAVE on those nights and then go up to the deck about 30 minutes prior to WISHES for an after-dinner drink. WAVE has good food & service, is less expensive than CG and is much, much easier to reserve than the others. Plus, no stress over getting the "right table".

The last 2 mays we uave made 9pm adrs for calafornia grill and desert was served just as the lights went down for the fireworks and the music was piped in. when we go next Sept we are planning this again

We just watched the halloween fireworks from TOW. We ordered an appetizer, some non-alcoholic drinks then coffee and desert. We finished just in time for the show. It was great (sound is piped in) We also saw the Electric Water Pageant. But if you want a great diner go to California Grill.

If you choose Narcoosee's be prepared to have to leave your table to watch. People will line up outside blocking the windows for those seating inside.

What time did you go? Every time I have gone there have not been any seats.

We watched the fireworks from the deck at California grill and top of the world lounge. Both were great. Top of the world, they will come by and put down a reserved sign at your table while you go out to watch the fireworks.
