Never fails to amaze me that folks just "follow" those in front of them.:confused3
Many times we have been standing in line waiting for a ride and see everyone going to one side or the other of a Y in the line...I usually give my wife a small nudge or nod and she knows what I am thinking...we then head to the side that no one is using and guess what, everyone starts following us and abandons the other line...
Happens quite often at the split stairs at Indy just before the loading zone.
Sometimes at Pirates right at the door
BTMRR just before the stairs...
and many others.

Just kind of cracks me up.
DL does not leave chains or ropes down just for fun....
our philosophy is that if there is an open line then we use it...;)

Wow, just a little harsh to call people sheep because they don't know that a better way exists. Not everyone is big fans like us, and they really don't know all the ins and outs. What may seem obvious to big Disney fans may not be intuitive to the occasional visitor.

Moving this to the Community Board

I guess your definition of harsh is different than mine...:confused3

::golfclap::
Sometimes people just get caught up in the moment while they are admiring the queues, or conversing with their parties. Or perhaps they have never been on the ride before, and assume that the line opposite could be for people with special passes.
I'd say it's far from being a sheep, and just more about being in line.

I think Standing in line is part of the DLR experience very rarely an I giving my whole attention to the line. Often Im enjoying taking goofy pictures or conversation with family or friends on the trip, I some times am taking in the scenery etc if I follow you in line its because Im less worried about getting through the line faster and more worried about enjoying the experience :thumbsup2

then why was everyone having a fit about the fastpass return time being enforced?

I do this all the time. I always go to the line everyone abandons and the people start following me and my family. I thought I was the only one who did this hahaha

I dont see why people are considering his post harsh. Its actually really funny :)

thank you;)

Since I am the one who claimed harsh...

To me, calling people sheep is inferring that they are stupid and cannot think for themselves. I might think people are clueless, but I don't laugh at them because I know better. I rather tend to share the knowledge than make fun of them while I do things the "better" way. Example - I almost never have to wait for the trams when going from Mickey and Friends to the parks. Rather than getting on the tram and laughing at others who are still waiting in line for the next tram for being sheep, I tend to motion to people & let them know they can get on, too.

I understand that this is most likely not what you guys meant, but this is how I took the comment.

I understand, I am an administrator for a website and sometimes your job can be tough...
I usually give folks a little leeway before I start performing my duties...but you have your parameters and I have mine...
Don't think I ever said I laughed at them....just amazed at the situation.
I used the sheep anology because they follow each other without thinking about why...
The sheep I was referring to are the folks that stay in the full line, and ignore the open line.
The ones that decide to follow me, are making a decision for themselves and do not qualify as sheep to me...just making a good decision.;)
It is kind of like being a sled dog....just follow the one in front of you unless you are the top (front ) dog!:)

They made the decision to follow you? Follow you??? :lmao:

If you weren't there to show them how to pick the faster lane, I bet they would have just piled into that full lane like a conga-line of lemmings! But you saved them from a long miserable wait. What genius! How can they ever thank you? I mean, they might be smart but you're SMRT!!! (Not SMART, but SMRT, there's a distinction.) What a true Disneyland hero!!

Believe me, I'll be looking for your window on Main Street. :yay:

Now,that I would consider Harsh!;)

Im not I never realized they weren't being enforced till they started being enforced and people got mad :confused3
