Watching MK fireworks

Have any of you watched Wishes at the MK at the boat dock to go back to the WL? I thought that we would avoid the crowds at the end of the day by watching them at the dock. Is this possible? Any other suggestions for getting out of the MK after Wishes without all of the congestion?

Watch the fireworks near the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey, don't short change yourself when it comes to the end of the day spectacular. When the fireworks are over, walk threw the shops on the right hand side of Main Street. They connect (almost) all the way to the entrance. Two benifits: It's not as crowded as trying to go down Main Street and it's AIR CONDITIONED!

i wouldn't watch them at the MK docks, but perhaps by the WL. i've watched them from the TTC ferry docks.

That's correct. The angle is really poor from just outside MK.

I guess if I can't see the castle, what's the point?

Remember that the park is up one level from the ground level, which is about where you are at the docks. You walk UP into the park, one level up.

We saw Wishes from the Cali Grill first. My DH asked me how I liked them and I said they were ok. I liked Camp Jeep's over the mountains better.

The next night we stood in front of Walt and OMG!!!!!!!

Best fireworks ever!!!!!!

We ended up there two more nights and bought the Wishes cd. Next time we will see wishes ever time right by the castle. I loved when the castle turned into the hat and when the Evil Queen spoke on the castle wall. How cool!

Our last night was at Epcot. My DD3 said during Illuminations- Mommy I don't like these fireferks. I want to see Cinderella's fireferks!

There is nothing like Wishes right in front of the castle. The music certainly adds a lot to the show, in my opinion. If you are not big on hearing the music, then choosing an alternate spot away from MK is great because you will have to be patient getting out when they are over.

After Wishes, I would just go do something else before I left. That way I'm not stressed about getting out.
