Has anyone stayed at SSR for the 4th of July and stayed at the resort to watch the 4th of July fireworks at DDT? We are wondering if they are any good and if SSR is a good location to watch the fireworks...We may have to brave the crowds to watch the fireworks at Epcot but we were wondering if the DTD fireworks would be worth our time instead...Please provide any information you may have on the subject...

BTW, we are arriving on July 4th and staying at SSR for the first five nights of our trip...We will have a 4 and 6 year old with us...DH is VERY patriotic and wants to see great fireworks with great music "if we are going to be there for the 4th".

With PI now closed it remains to be seen if they will still have any fireworks from the DD location. They did away with the nightly "New Years Eve" celebration at PI several years ago.

Hopefully they will still have some pyrotechnics at least for special occasions from DD in the future.

Stay Tuned!

I did not even think about the how the closing of PI would impact the fireworks :scared1:

My DH's birthday is July 4, so this year we spent it at SSR, in Congress Park, with a DTD view. The fireworks were fantastic and they were right over us, almost like they were just for us. We sat out on our patio and watched the whole thing.

It was perfect. We loved not having to fight a crowd to get to the bus or monorail. I would recommend it.
