Watching for Jan AP rates while in The World on Nov.3-9th trip

Need help from the WDW experts!!

My DH and I are taking DD almost 4 and DS 2 to WDW Nov. 3-9. Then, DH and I will be traveling back to The World alone for Mommy and Daddy ONLY Weekend Jan. 9-12. I have a DC rate of $105, but would love an AP rate. From the sounds of it, AP rates for Jan. may be coming out while were are there.

The question: Has this happened to you and can you call from the resort to change a ressie?

I've had this happen twice for some reason.

Each day I just gave CRO a call on my cell phone while on line or waiting for a table, and just made my ressie when the rates became available. It may actually be less expensive to make the call from your cell than to use the Resort phone. I don't think there's any special way to be connected to CRO if you're at the resorts. From my understanding, the call centers are pretty far from WDW, and some of them are even outside of FL.

Thanks for the tip. I always take the cell phone since our long distance is free (better than paying hotel rate for LD!) I'll try calling that way.
