Watching for flotillas while eating in AK?

The flotillas are still going, right? And I’m assuming at random times?

I heard you can see them while dining/drinking at Nomad Lounge but it also sounds like it can be awfully hard to secure a patio spot there with any kind of view. Someone mentioned seeing the flotillas from Flame Tree BBQ... is that correct? I’d love to find a place where we can sit and relax with a drink and snacks or a meal while watching for these to go by. Ideally we’d have shade or air conditioning as we’ll be there mid-summer... but perhaps that is asking too much.

Flame Tree BBQ does have spots down below but it is a long view. You can see it but its not the most amazing.We love Flame Tree seating- well shaded and right next to water. Otherwise- as you walk around the park you will see small sitting areas behind some of the food places. The parades happen randomly as well so you might sit at Flame Tree for an hour and they never go by. Have Fun!
