And I LOVED IT! What a great movie. I love everything about New Orleans, and the voodoo stuff didn't bother me at all... in fact it was a nice change from the "normal" bad guy in most movies. Honey on the beignets??? That was a little off, but who knows, maybe it would be good?!?

When we go to WDW, Port Orleans is my favorite resort - in fact we are staying there again in the fall, and this movie made me SO homesick for my Disney Home!! I want to be wandering the lush pathways of Riverside, early in the morning when its still dark and quiet. I want to smell the beignets cooking over at French Quarter off in the distance, I want to hear the frogs and the bugs chirping alongside the water, and hear the jazz music that plays quietly in the background everywhere you go.

Does anyone else think it would be wonderful if little bits of the movies got sprinkled around the PO resorts? Not a lot, not obnoxiously, just little bits here and there? They could play bits of the soundtrack as the background in the buildings, the food court could be rethemed as one the the restaurants Tiana worked in, some well-done little sculptures could be scattered around the grounds: a frog here and there in the bushes, a lightning bug here and there up high in the trees, lit up at night to "lead the way".

I can't wait for my trip!!

I love the movie too! I'd love it if they added a few little princess and the frog touches, as long as they don't touch the FQ food court. I love it the way it is :thumbsup2

Great it is good, my gf told me about this movie and we are preparing to watch it but still waiting for subtitles :)

I saw about the first 25 minutes of the movies at work (I work at a daycare w/ 2 yr olds), but they got bored about 15 min after :( It's just because of their age though, but now I'm dying to see the rest!!

What a great description of PO, you just set the mood for me to go to Disney!
I'm in my own little world like you right now, this morning I was laying in bed pretending it was the bed at CBR and that we were about to wake up to get ready for the parks.....
I'm soooooo ready for my trip!

:woohoo:

I loved the film and the soundtrack is amazing. I think it would be great if touches were added to Port Orleans - we stayed at Riverside in 2008 and loved it. :)

I love the movie and its soundtrack and everything about it. It's one of my absolute favorite Disney films... I wish it had done better at the box office. :sad1: I liked it better than Avatar.

I just saw it this week for the first time and I LOVED it too! I cried at the end! I thought it had all the makings of a classic Disney movie, great storytelling, beautiful animation and fabulous songs. I'm disappointed now that this film didn't win the Oscar this year, it was so much better then Up and it really deserved it. And I've never like Randy Newman but he did an amazing job on the music and he deserved to win too.

I LOVED the movie and do agree with you that little aspects of it should be incorporated at POR or POFQ!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! It took me back to the days of the old Disney Classics. This one is sure to join them a classic as well. :thumbsup2

Absolutely loved The Princess and the Frog! Somehow the Easter Bunny left it in MY basket so I just finished watching it for the first time. It was as great as I'd heard.

Saw it on opening weekend while on the Magic. Told the DW right afterwards that it had to be the best Disney movie yet!

I saw it in February and loved it as well. I guess I'm just a sucker for princess movies.

Lotte's voice cracked me up! "Please, please, please, please, PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!" LOL!

I liked it all well and good, but it was definitely not the best. The frogs were kind of boring.

I thought it was nice to see Disney go back to the "classic" princess/prince/conflict/solution storyline that they do so well. I loved it!

I loved the film and the soundtrack is amazing. I think it would be great if touches were added to Port Orleans - we stayed at Riverside in 2008 and loved it. :)

My daughter would be thrilled if they added a few touches at POFQ and POR. We've stayed there before and loved it. We'll be visiting POR in June and October and I know the landscaping and ambience will bring the Princess and the Frog to mind.

I loved the movie and the soundtrack. The story, the characters, the amazing artwork and the music are glorious. I find myself humming "Almost There " quite often.:) DD, age 30, was raised on Disney and this has become her favorite.

Glad you enjoyed the movie so much. I thought it was refreshing myself. Nice to see a movie as an ol' classic :goodvibes
