Watched New Webcast

I was hoping for a more in depth tour of the actual villas. I've been curious what the master bedroom and bathroom look like. I wish there was a model on WDW property too. I was also hoping to see the hotel rooms too.

The Samantha Brown part is 18 min 28 sec. Then after you watch that you can click on "learn more". That's a separate video revealing the add on specials.

I agree! I was hoping to see a villa. You would think they would have one room completed for the webcast...

I visited WDW April 24-29, 2011. We stopped by to see our guide at SSR. Aulani model rooms are available to view at SSR. We thought they were beautiful. Hope this helps!

Good to know... We will be at SSR in July so DH and I will make sure to stop by.

I watched this morning. I did not experience any technical problems. I thought Samantha Brown did a great job. It looks beautiful. Don't know if I will ever get to Hawaii, but if I do, this may be the way to go :thumbsup2

I am excited to see it on Saturday and MORE excited to see it in person in November! Even though we live in Seattle we wouldn't add on there because of the financial risks we view inherent in Hawaii timeshares and beach areas in general. But, we will happily go when we can at the 7 month window. We usually go to Maui at Westin Ka'anapali and our stays are so heavenly that we may actually like Maui more than Disney...so we are very excited to compare Aulani!

I thought it was pretty good with lots of interesting tidbits., Normally I can't stand Samantha Brown, but she did a good job..subdued for the most part. Looks like it will be a lovely resort that I'd like to visit.

How did you get info about this webcast? Was it e-mailed to all? We never heard anything about a new webcast.:goodvibes

I saw it talked about here on the disboards and so I went and signed up, but later I found I had a "Personal Invite from Samantha Brown" in my email too.

After talking to our guide yesterday after the webcast we're definitely doing our add on at BLT. The AKV add ons were the same as Aulani but without the gift cards. Now just to figure out how many points we really do need.

Watched last night and thought it was very nicely done. I have actually been a Samantha Brown fan for years, and thought she did a great job introducing us to Aulani. I think I would have been more tempted to look at adding on at Aulani if I could have seen more of the finished interior (spa, kids club, villas, etc.). Otherwise, it was fun to see what they have so far - looks beautiful - hope we get a chance to stay there!

My wife and I viewed the models two weeks ago while at Disneyland. The layout and decor is absolutely beautiful. We are going in December to see it first hand :cool1:

There are lots of photos and some video of Aulani at the official Aulani website: http://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/

I know that Disney was also constructing a model of the Aulani Villas at the DVC Sales Center located at SSR in Walt Disney World. I'm not sure, but the Aulani models may be open by now.

Here's a list of the special offers from the webcast:

Me too:confused3 I thought I was going crazy......I didn't get to hear any of the offers :(

I played the streaming video later in the night, 11 pm EDT, and lo and behold, 2 buttons were there that weren't there before! One was for the "special offer," and the other was for a brief tour of every DVC property.

Wow, I didn't have those buttons on mine either. Very strange, you would think they were telecasting from the member website with these problems :rotfl:
