My husband called tonight to see if we had a pin. They said we had free dining, Plus at a Moderate. My husband asked what this was and was told a counter service, table service and snack with a mug. We booked and after he got off the phone, we thought the price looked a little high. We priced it on the internet and it was almost $400 off. When we called back, we were advised that we had to pay extra for the Plus and it was actually only quick service. We asked to cancel and were given to a supervisor. He said that they would go back and listen to the call and then call us back. My husband got on the phone and told him what part of the conversation to listen to. He apologized if we had been "mislead" to think that the plus dining was free. Anyone else had this happen?

I always get the rack rate price before I book the FD to make sure we get the right price. We've never had any trouble before. I'm afraid to call to see if we have a FD PIN because I would really want to book a trip but DW is Disney-ed out. Maybe I can have a daddy/daughter trip....

All of the current email pin codes are for Quick Service at the Value and Moderate Resorts. If a CM tells you that you are getting Basic/Plus dining with a value or moderate resort, tell them they are incorrect and that you want to speak to a supervisor.

i hope they do not offer quick service for mods if they offer free dining in august/sept. :(

There have been a number of pin codes in the past that have offered quick service dining to the value resort, moderate resorts and even the deluxe resorts. Email pin codes are random, name specific and non-transerable and don't, typically, have a correlation to general public discounts. Of couse, Disney can change their general public offers at any time, but in the past those email pin codes for quick service at all level of resorts did not affect the general public offers.

Just booked a three night stay at a moderate For mid March...was told it was the quick service dining plan and if we wanted to upgrade to the full service dining it would be $15 per person per night...not sure if we will do this dining upGrade or not...does it sound worth it??

Can anyone tell me how I can start getting the email codes? I have a log on on the Disney website and I always book our trips through Disney. I am getting ready to book a trip for June and don't want to miss a discount.

I just posted about this a few posts down ("What Kind of Deal Was I Just Offered?"). I had the exact same experience today, although I have not called back to ask about it yet since I still need to figure out if we're even going. I wonder if we had the same person?? He was very misleading as far as I am concerned. He told me we had "free dining," and then told me a price...how would I ever have known that we were actually paying extra for the table service plan if I didn't look on here?

The pin we were offered today was free quick service at a moderate and free table service dining at deluxe. It went until the end of June.

Ours just came through email to my email today, but it was addressed to my husband. I always make all the arrangements and do all the online reservations so, I guess it's just random.

Hmm.. I book online too and have ordered the maps as the previous posts suggest. I guess I have been unlucky! I think I will call them tomorrow.

Sounds like you were given the upsell. Except even when I am being up-sold I expect to be told the truth. That's shady and I would not be pleased. :sad2:

We called and my pin got lost in the mail (it's email - how does that get lost?), but they were able to use the code anyway. Bad news now is that we need to change our dates and they're telling me that there is no availability for the dates we need to change to. :headache: I looked online with a friend's pin and found availability. Hope to get it straightened out tomorrow. I need lots of pixie dust :tinker: please. :goodvibes
