Watch those bills! Mine was $0 due deposit, but was wrong!

I booked a room-only ressie for ASMo for one night(before moving to BWV) and when my bill arrived yesterday-It said there was $0 deposit due and my room was guaranteed! I wondered if because the amount due was under $100, I didn't have to pay anything up front, but I had a funny feeling about that. I called the 800# on the back of the bill and sure enough-was told if I don't send in my deposit of 1 nite, my ressie would have been cancelled!!! I might have been sorely disappointed when I showed up on Thanksgiving weekend.

Moral of this story-Don't always believe what's on your bill. There is always a minimum of 1 nite on a reservation-even if you're only staying 1 nite! CALL if you think there's any problem at all. There's even a toll-free# now on the back of the bill-I think I got into WDW Travel Company, but they transferred me to someone in Billing, I believe.

This is why I always make my deposit with a CC when I make the ressie. Then I call back and pay the final balance with a CC on the day it is due, always while a CM is on the phone. Then all I have to do is transfer money from my checking over to the CC and I am all paid up.
