Watch the Kohl's register when checking out!

Yesterday, I bought my DS a few pair of basketball shorts at Kohl's and all three were on sale. Regular price on the tags, before the sale, was $25.

All three pair of shorts rang up as $30! So I made sure the cashier corrected it and since all three of the shorts rang up wrong, she gave me the 3rd pair for $5, instead of the $20 sale price.

So make sure you watch the registers when you're checking out to make sure you don't get overcharged. They've got quite the racket going on there and from now on, if I shop there again, I'll be sure to pay attention to what the tag price is and what the price is supposed to be.

I can't think of a store I haven't had that happen yet. Watching the register is always a good idea!

Try to keep in mind it probably isn't a racket. The prices are still entered into the computer by humans, and sometimes they make mistakes. I hope the cashier called and reported the error so that the could fix it asap!

I agree it happens at all stores, not just kohls i haven't found a store where it doesn't happen.

I hope she did, too, though she didn't say a word about correcting the error when I was at the register. The only place I've had incorrect prices ring up is at Kohl's. I'm either exceedingly lucky or it's an issue with the store.

I am sure it is an issue with the store because they are always having sales and discounts ect. every week, i don't know how they can keep up

I usually find the opposite! Many times the price that an item rings up is cheaper than what I thought it would be- lots of times the cashiers have coupons they use to lower the price even more.

This seems to always happen to me at any store, so I try to watch the register like a hawk! I think Kohl's is the store that the cashier has to take the customers word on what the price is, meaning they won't do a price check. Unless, your not sure than they would have to check.

I've never had a problem at Kohl's. Once the cashier even took an additional discount off an item because I had a coupon and that way I ended up not having to pay anything. As far as not having to do price checks I'm not sure what the policy there is. I'm a manager in a retail store and we have a price difference limit. For example if the customer is saying that an item is $10 less than what it's ringing up it has to be checked. There are a lot of dishonest people in this world. Please keep in mind also that most stores sales are entered into a computer system in the corporate office so please don't fuss at the people in the store as if they did it. For all those on a budget here's a little advise, be nice, we tend to give better discounts to the nice customers if it's something that's possible for us to do. Otherwise you get the it's corporate policy and we can't do that. Being nice can really get you a long way.

Today I was in Kohl's and bought my dd two outfits that were marked $40 and 50% off. Both rang up at $26. When I told her they were on the 50% off rack, she just took an additional $6 off of each one.

Just a note, the Target near my house has wrong prices all the time!

Thanks for the good advice, I always double check my receipts but it never hurts to be reminded :thanks:
