Like the same thing didn't happen on his thread? I just don't see the point in telling someone that their post is immature and there are better ways to deal with it...if you're just going to turn around and do the same.

BTW: I am not referring to katerkat or BobSlydell, or in fact this particular thread at all ..... just making a general observation.

Nah. I was regular-aggressive, but he doesn't like bodily functions, so I went with passive.

The CB is under the 'Just for Fun' section of the DIS. As usual there are too many people who don't know the meaning of the word fun.

I just find this whole debacle to be STUPID.....really. If Mikeeee or whatever the heck he calls himself, was really that concerned over the huge sigs then he could darn well hit that little triangle at the bottom of the screen and report the post. Instead he chose to harass and provoke.

Yeah, really big sigs irritate me but after all this crap I don't care if everyone puts two pages worth of pics. I can not believe that a sig has evoked such emotions, ridiculous.

I think the PM was unnecessary as well, and the thread deteriorated rather quickly (I know, SHOCKING on the DIS!) I usually go with reporting posts with super long signatures. Very passive-aggressive of me.

For the record, I once called Dan Murphy passive-aggressive, yet later when other posters were mocking him using a different word, I disagreed with that. I don't usually take sides with a certain group.

Both sides are getting way too emotional about it, IMO, not just Mikee and those in favor of compliance.

For the record, I was looking for a police picture to post ON that thread so I typed in 'police' on photobucket. The fact that there was an officer writing on someone was too funny to pass up. It had to have it's own thread.

That pic would have been mildly funny a couple of days ago. Today it is that much funnier because it is poking fun at the concept of "siggy police". And we all know why laughing at the siggy police is particularly funny today. Admit it - there is only one reason why that pic was posted this afternoon.

BTW, I laughed at it, even though I don't agree with making a mockery of DIS rules that are designed to make these Boards function smoothly. I do have a sense of humor! But I don't agree that it was JUST a funny pic, nothing more.

I'm really, really not trying to be offensive, because I like you normally, TM2. But attitudes like this - "I know it irritates him so I'm going to make my sig even bigger!" - just annoy me more. Just like on the Desperate Housewives thread - I was annoyed by the use of "Charmay" bu never said anything (ignored the post) but then someone else pointed it out and people got offended and decided to continue to use the name just to piss the other person off. (And yes, I know I'm bitter to mention a character that hasn't been on the show for a couple weeks now.)

I just don't see the point in deliberately provoking someone, for any reason. Like my mom says, "She'll stop bugging you if you ignore her."

But like y'all said, I'm bitter and not any fun, so feel free to keep starting various threads to continue this feud into next week. The Ty thing is dying down, so we need something else to waste bandwidth with.
