We don't have USAA any longer... but did get a nice check from them! Seems that they decided that we had be gone for long enough and closed the account!
We are another family of USAA cheerleaders The coverage and customer service is the best. They really take care of their members. My dh mentioned last week that we should be getting a div. check soon. USAA also has an excellent bank.

I just love USAA bank. I love the 0%, 0% fee credit card balance transfers. I have used four so far. 3 for CDs and the last one to pay off our mortgage. We are almost done with that one.

Tell me about the 0%, 0%fee.....credit card. We have our only credit card through them that we use for everything and then pay it off at the end of the month.....

I use my Delta Sky Miles Amex like that. Since I have had it (for years) there has been double miles on gas, groceries, home improvements, drug stores, etc., so I use it like you do, pay it off every month. I got the USAA card for promotional balance transfers. I NEVER use it for purchases, because the promotional rate is tied to the original transfer, the zero percent gets paid off first, so anything you purchase gets paid off last and thus carries the interest rate. So, that said, I take this card/convenience checks. Call and make sure that I have zero percent and that there is no transfer use fee for that particular promotion and write a check to myself. The last check I wrote to myself went into the checking account and I then transferred the funds to my mortgage company, paying off the last year or so of my mortgage at zero percent. I pay on the credit card in the same manner. The other 3 times I have used it, I have written a check to myself and bought CDs at a higher promotional rate. I pay off that credit card by the end of the year, earn money on the CD with USAA's money. If I can pay it off out of the budget, then it has been "forced savings", but if you can't, you have the principal in the CD, pay it with that and keep the interest earned. Its a win/win situation.
haven't seen one from them yet on our side. I checked our auto policy after seeing this thread last night and it isn't there either....i'll give it a few more days.
Thank you OP. I got a letter saying we would get a deposit, but forgot to look if it was there. Since you reminded me, I went and look and tt was a little over $60. Hopefully next year they do it again because we should get more since we use them for our home insurance now along with the cars. I had the home insurance through another company last year.
