Just wondering if you can see the fireworks from Deck 8 starboard verandah staterooms on the Dream? We'll be in 8548, between AFT and midship stairs, if that helps to know. Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to see some of the fireworks in that location. However, be aware that in some rooms on the ships, they leave a message that people are not to be on the verandas during the fireworks due to safety concerns.

Oops, in my OP I meant to say between FORWARD and midship stairs - sorry! Not sure that makes a ton of difference but wanted to clarify.

Thanks @dcassetta. Good to know - I haven't been in a starboard verandah room before, so wasn't aware.

Not the exact same location but last Fall on the Fantasy we were also between aft and midship (but closer to midship), on the 9th floor and did have a letter advising us not to be on the verandah to watch fireworks. Looks like you are a little further back than we were but not much

My DH watched them from our balcony in 8632. He said he could see most of it, but may have had to lean out a bit for some. He said 8632 was perfect because he saw a bit more through the space where the above floors curve for the skin:

I don't think he had as nice a view as we did. They really do try to shoot off the fireworks to be overhead. While on deck 12, you almost feel like they are right above you, not away from the ship. Although, they are probably further out than they appear.

last week on the fantasy in a very similar location (8584) the fireworks woke my kid up, so he watched them through the door to the verandah. He claims to have had a good view, but he was quiet enough that I didn't know he was there until after the fact, so I didn't try to watch myself.

Since the fireworks are shot from aft, I think it's the cabins after that are likely to get that message. If your cabin is forward. Then you should be able to be on your balcony.

Some of the side rooms get the letter, also. Mostly mid to aft.

FigmentSpark, do you know if there is a picture of the Magic with all the stateroom numbers attached? Where did you find the one on your post? I tried to search for a while last night with no success. Thanks!

I happened to make a screen print on the one that was on the DIS boards a while ago, so I have a copy of the Dream versions of the room layouts, but that's it. I don't know who the person was who did these originally, but I think they disappeared from their respective threads when Photobucket(?) started charging for hosting photos.

We were in 8546 on the Dream and could see them very well from the verandah.
