Well for the 3rd week in a row Airtran has announced a fare sale. After they released their sale two days later SW and other airlines reduced their fares. So by Wed. we should see a slight decrease in flight prices.

I posted earlier that AirTran did drop today, got a real nice credit.

I always watch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, that is often when there is airfare movement. The news last night said that several carriers were rolling back their fares because folks weren't buying after the last increase.

been watching, Tampa to Hartford on SWA, actually went UP today! I was going to book yesterday ($134 vs. today's $179!) but am still putting all the pieces together with DH and DD (who we will be visiting). Now I have to wait for the drop again!!!! The trip down will be booked with free flight certificates but I need "reasonable" for the trip home.

Southwest dropped to 131 to Orlando from St. Louis. Can't decide if I should book or wait??? Please help me decide.

Well we decided to book at $131.00 from St. Louis to Orlando for July 14th thru July 21st. We got the early am flight out and the late afternoon flight out on the 21st. Hope I made the right decision.....gas is still going up here in Illinois.

We also booked the 131 flights out of STL for October. Total of 1400 for our family of 5. A few hundred more than I was planning on but I was afraid they were going to go even higher. I hate its still a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive to the airport though.

Hey ABCboys - our drive to St. Louis is about 45 minutes so we are really close to the airport. Last year we paid $99 each way so we paid about $60 more (roundtrip) for each of our party. We paid a little more this year but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was really starting to get a little nervous since we are leaving this July.

For those of you whose flight price did not drop the fare sale is good for travel on Tues. Wens. and a few Thur. flights. So if you can depart and return on one of those days you can save some money. This is especially true for SW customers.

surprised to grab a $56 credit from SWA for Saturday flight on July travel dates this am, coming here to post;)

Yippee! Was able to get a $78 credit cause my fair from Indy to Orlando dropped going down on SW! :cool1:

Oh Dear, I dont know what I am going to do. I am flying from PHL to MCO on 8/24. Last week the cheapest morning flight was $110 with one stop and no plane change. Now its up to $137!!!! I thought flying late august would be reasonable airfare. Oh dear....i am worried that this trip may cost me an arm and a leg.:sad2:

Coming back on Sat 9/3 the cheapest flight is $160!! I realize that is a holiday weekend, but I didnt expect airfare to be this high this year....oh dear am I ever in a pickle :sad2:

I was searching last week and got a pretty good price from Houston to MCO for JUNE... and was going to book on Friday to book... buuuut got busy and forgot to go back until Sunday! Tickets went up by $101 per person! We jumped on the new price because we were afraid of another increase... AFTER reading the first post here, I was afraid that I messed up! Well, prices are still the same... not that that is a GOOD thing... but better for me as I thought I messed up!;)
