I also hate wasting food. Left overs are usually for lunch for hubby and I. Kids (now only daughter at home) very rarely eat the leftovers
. We don't usually have much left - there are times when I will freeze cooked food so it won't go to waste. This does not happen too often. We had so much food left from NYE - I separated the eggplant rollitini and froze two packages. We grow some vegetables in the summer. We had a ton of eggplants. We breaded them, bake them and froze a few ziplock bags. You can only eat so much of the same thing each day. We also buy lot's of fresh and frozen vegetables. We always try to use the fresh first. Fruits - I can't keep up with it in this house. I shop once/twice a week. I have two refrigerators and a freezer. When I buy meat on sale - I usually separate to make enough for two/three people. I don't mind a little extra left for lunch. If my sons come over - I can take out double the package, etc.
