I swear there was, but I can't find it. I started watching this train wreck a few episodes ago and now it's my guilty pleasure.

Sending a cease and desist letter telling people to not ask questions about someone's personal life.... :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Does that work with MILs???

I know it's so weird! I wonder if her fiance has some sort of high powered job and is afraid that being talked about on air on a (kind of trashy) reality TV show may damage his career. It's the only reason I can think that she'd be so adamant about not talking about her personal life on the show. Be that as it may you'd think she'd take the other moms aside when they aren't filming and explain the situation to them. Of course that wouldn't be dramatic though....

When she decides it's ok for them to talk about the wedding,I hope they ignore her.

Any time she says one word about the wedding, they should start talking about something else.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Jill trying to get Cindy to take Maddie to Candy Apple?

It's my new guilty pleasure, too!

I kept wondering if you can even tell someone to cease and desist over something stupid like that. Melissa annoys me to no end with her passive aggressive ways. It's no wonder the other moms are always yanking her chain.

And slightly OT, but I wish Maddie could show something other than the only two emotions she ever shows when she dances. She's a beautiful dancer, but everytime I hear about her solo, I wonder if she is going to be wearing her "I'm constipated and really need to take a dump" face or her "thank goodness I just took a dump and feel great" face.

For some reason, I always watch that show. DS knows a lot of dancers working on a cruise ship, and I'm trying to get him to find out if anyone's from that area and may know the dance studio.

If it works for MIL let me know ;). I thought Melissa was so ridiculous she completely freaked out and overreacted and she told her fiancé to call his lawyer and then she tells the moms she didn't do it?:confused3. She could just asked that they don't talk about it before she made her dramatic exit.

My theory is that she is getting alimony from her ex and doesnt want him to find out....

Maybe she tried that. :confused3

I wonder if the divorce isn't final, and the girls' father has an issue with how her new relationship is being put out there, so she's been trying to do damage control. Sounds like the new fiance is loaded, so contacting a lawyer is probably the way he handles things.

I'm sure whatever it is, it's NOT just about simple conversations on a reality show. For all we know, there was much more said by the other women on camera, and the show also got a cease and desist letter and took it seriously. :confused3

I think every single adult on that show is an idiot.

Melissa is flat out weird. Why not talk about the man you love? Then she's so upset that she grabs her little one, Mackenzie(sp?) and then tells Abby she can take Maddie for the weekend? Of course, the drama mama shows up for the event that she said she would not attend. Then Kathy brings her a gift and she says talk my my lawyer?! I hope her fiancee knows what he's getting into. The women need to cold shoulder her.
BTW, you know they're making money, why doesn't she get Maddie's teeth fixed?

She's a beautiful little girl who could use orthodontia.

Very bored today. Took the day off to wait for a service person who never showed. So, I did some researching and don't know if the items on the internet or true or not but they are out there.

Melissa and her husband Kurt (don't think their divorce is final yet) had a mortgage company. He was president, she was vice president. It's still listed that way.
There is Reign Dance Production, a dance studio/school/hall and it's officer includes Melissa Ziegler which coincidentally is the Abby Lee Dance Studio. Unsure if she is just listed because she works there but it does say "officer" under the Reign Dance Production. One website was confused and thought the Abby Lee Studio was the competition side and Reign Productions was all the rest of the studio.

Her fiance Greg Gisoni is a vice president at Westinghouse Electric Operations/Delivery and has two patents of some type of invention. Looks like he may be in his 50's and have a couple of grown kids. His name is on some nuclear commission as a person interviewed so guessing he has easy access to lawyers who would try to buffalo these women with big words to try to get them to shut up.

A site says the mothers and children cannot be paid for being on the show as the children would no longer be able to compete as amateurs. I'm a firm believer that the mothers are definitely getting paid.

Holly-Nia's mother is a principal at a private school.
Cathy from Candy Apples and Abby are/were friends in real life.

I'm bored and not use to being home all day.

I also read somewhere that it was Melissa's second divorce and will be her third marriage.

Ooh, sasywtch, please tell us more of what you found. I TIVO the show, but never actually researched anything. Interesting point about the kids not getting paid.

My DD's teeth were probably worse than that, but you know what, the orthodontist said you have to wait until a certain number of baby teeth are gone. People here just slam these kids and moms for not getting the girls beth fixed. I am sure she will WHEN the ortho says it is time. My little guy is 11 and his mouth still isn't ready.

Not hard to find that info. Most of it is on a page dedicated to Maddie.

I did read somewhere that the mom's are paid quite a lot to be on that show. The girls can't be paid, but the mothers certainly can be.

Maddie's page also said she had 8 callbacks for the Broadway show, Billy Elliott, but couldn't do it because she'd be paid and then couldn't compete and do Dance Moms. I think it absurd that the family would choose competitions (which are a dime a dozen) over Broadway, assuming she was indeed offered the job.

I wonder if Holly's leave of absence is really her choice. :confused3

Geez Louise, it's a tv show. I'm not that vested emotionally. The girl has bad teeth. I'm sure eventually she'll get her teeth fixed, OK? :flower3:
