Wasn't happy w Boardwalk last week

I hate that there is not way to contact the front desk any more

When did you last have an experience where calling the "front desk" gets you to the front desk? I'll admit we've only been going to WDW since 2010, but in that time calling the "front desk" has NEVER gotten us to the front desk.

I could have gotten something from Boardwalk since the manger asked what I would like, I declined.

Should you ever secretly want something but you don't want to demand it, ask the manager what s/he thinks compensation should be. That way you're not demanding.

I can see being upset about being tired and feeling lost.

My own personal DNA would send me right back to the front desk to ask for help, though.

We arrived at POR around 1:30am...they had to pretty much wake up the Bell Services guy on my request. I didn't have a problem with that. :)

Having read so many issues with MB not opening doors at BWV, we may just have to ask bell service to help us when we get there at 1am in June. I already did online check I and requested high floor close to elevator. We are normally self sufficient and do not require bell service help but I would be extremely upset if we cannot open the door that late. If that were the case, would it be possible to send the bellhop with the MB to get the issue fixed, or do I have to personally go to the front desk to resolve the issue?

OP, I can fully understand your frustration and your need to vent here. This "quirk" at BWV about access to the 1st floor rooms on that side of the resort is something I did not know about until now, so thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I do have one question, if you knew you had a boardwalk view why did you ask if these rooms were closest to HS? Totally opposite ends of the resort. I would have been confused at that point and irate that I had walked that entire length of hallway (twice!!) with 4 suitcases for no good reason.

The problem is contacting them. You can't do that unless you walk back there. Any phone call to the Boardwalk front desk actually gets you the call center so not much else to be done I don't think.

I was tired from the trip.... Stupid.... I don't know

I think the front desk dropped the ball big time. You should have been asked if you needed assistance. I have had a first floor room in that side of BWVs. It is confusing. Venting is helpful and alerts others to the situation. I hope you had a good time on your cruise.

Just so you know for the future at BWV/BWI valet is not Disney anymore. Not sure who it is.

Had a GREAT cruise thanks. Yes I should have asked the front desk. Just didnt realize I would have got lost :tilt:

makes me wonder why a place like Disney doesn't have an ap that you download to your phone where you say your room number and the phone leads you directly to the room.....In it's best Goofy voice....

Oh, and Steve, quit yelling. Every time you raise your letters, you take a couple minutes off your life. Stress free...:tigger:
