We'll be travelling with my 73 year old father in the Fall. He has prostate issues and needs to use the bathroom frequently. He'll go before we board the bus to the parks, but once we get there, are there any washrooms just outside the parks or in the bus loops areas?

I'd like to get to the Magic Kingdrom for rope drop (and wait) for example and he probably will need to use the washroom before we actually get into the park.

Every major park has restrooms located before the entrance to the park, but MK is a little different. You do have to look hard to find them, but they are there. Magic Kingdom if you are coming from the monorail resorts like the Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian will be the problem one. Since, you are brought right to the park from those resorts by monorail; you will have to wait until you enter the park. If you get to the Magic Kingdom from the central transportation center, there is a restroom there. This is where you catch the ferry or the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom park. This is where you park your car, too. Most come to Magic Kingdom this way.

There are maps to show you the restroom locations in the park. Get the maps and be prepared. Every section of the park you go to find the nearest restroom; so, you can be ready. If a ride has a long waiting time consider a restroom break before and after the ride. The same is true of shows. Use fastpass for the rides that are very long.

You may want to consider getting him a scooter to use at the park. It may help to be sitting on the scooter all day. Also, in most cases you can go faster on a scooter than walking for most seniors which may be helpful at those bad moments.

This is not correct. Once you exit the monorail at MK you will go thru the bag check. (Just the same as those who arrive on buses or boats). There are restrooms to the right of the Guest services windows before the turnstiles.

Yes.

Just to be very clear, you do have to go thru security before getting to those restrooms at MK though.

:)

You go thru bag check before you get to all the restrooms outside the park turnstiles. The only exceptions are the restrooms near the buses at Epcot and the ones near International Gateway.

Yes.
Agree the only ones before Security are at Epcot. I was only responding about MK.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like we have options if we arrive at the parks before rope drop.:thumbsup2
