Does anyone have a coupon code for a Nationals baseball game? I will be in DC on July 30 and my DH and I would like to see the stadium. When I was on the Nats website and clicked on Buy Tickets, the box that came up had a spot for Coupon Code. BONUS! Now... if I only had one...

I know - ask my buddies on the DISboards!! Can anyone help? TIA. :thumbsup2

I don't have a coupon code, and you can see by my sig that we are Phillies fans, but I will give you a tip on Nats tickets. (lots of Phillies fans travel to DC to see the Philles play the Nats, it's an easy train ride and tickets in Philly are hard to get) Don't buy expensive tickets. The Nats never sell out and the ushers often turn a blind eye on moving down from cheaper seats.

Ooooo, GREAT tip!! Thanks so much. I'll be sure to root 1/2 the game for the Phils. ;)

As another Phillie fan who has made the trip, good seats can be found very cheap on StubHub as well.....

Cardinal fan here. Our key to those coupon codes is to be signed up for the weekly email from the team. The code is the same every week, but you have to know which games it applies to.

We went to the game two sundays ago on a coupon code. The code made all tickets half price. This made it possible for a family of 4 to go to a game (in the upper deck) for about $33. We usually buy tickets in the $20-$30 range per seat and so we spent the same amount and just moved closer. I had the chance to get the 3rd base dugout seats but let them go and someone else got them (can't complain about $80+ seats for $40).

It was a good deal as the kids got Matt Holliday jerseys as the giveaway promotion AND since it was opening weekend, the kids also got vouchers for two free tickets to be redeemed by august of this year to another ballgame. So when I get those tickets (and probably spend another $40-$50 on the adult tickets), I will have spent about $150 and taken my family of 4 to two games and not sat in the cheap seats (which run about $20 for adults and $7.50 for kids)

This never, ever happens in Philly. Every game sells out without any specials. :sad2:

Thank goodness we have season tickets! :cool1:

I have actually gotten codes for Phillies game. Haven't gotten any for this year yet, but I did get a couple last year. Some were for a couple of bucks off, some were buy 1, get 1

what's the National's ballpark like? I want to go to Camden to see the Orioles...maybe we could make a weekend of it and see a Nationals game, too. I LOVE Pudge!

I got a coupon code yesterday but I think its only for the series next week vs. the Braves. But it was E-SAVER. Also, the stadium is beautiful and my DH (the baseball fanatic) said the next time we go, we'll get the cheap seats (like $10-20) cause there aren't any bad seats in the house!! :woohoo:

Have a great time, and take the metro if you can, its cheaper and easier than driving/parking in DC.

Thanks to everyone for your responses!

I especially like YOUR response, Charitycase20! No bad seats?? Fantastic. I figure I'm comfortable shelling out $30 per seat since it'll be the only time we'll probably ever be in that park. And we are definitely taking the metro.

Now to talk my husband into paying a fortune for a 5 star hotel... :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Oy! I WISH we could get Red Sox tickets for that!! We pay anywhere from $60-110 per seat. Parking is $40. Food runs us about another $30 or so. We joke and say we can almost fly to Texas and watch the Sox there for less.

I would LOVE to do an Oriole/Nationals weekend. I might have to tweak our schedule this week and see when we could go. Is DC miserable in the summer??

I LOVE Camden Yards! We go to at least 2 games a month there. We are going on Sunday to see them play the Red Sox. Friday is Student night - upper deck tickets for $8 and Tuesdays are Ollie's Bargain night - upper deck for $8. We usually get the cheap seats and move down. Hopefully they will get better soon and we won't be able to do that.

We have NEVER been to a Nationals game in DC but we have seen the Nationals play in NY. Go figure! lol
