Washington DC to Mass?????

Can anyone recommend a fun place to stop on our road trip from Washington DC to Massachusetts???? Maybe a 1/2 way point to break up the trip? We have 2 boys ages 7 & 9.

A lot depends on which route you are taking, and if you are going to Boston (Eastern MA) or Western Mass. There are all sorts of great kids-related stops in PA if you are willing to take a more westerly route: Hershey, the Crayola Factory, Sesame Place, etc. If you are staying more easterly, the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Connecticut is great and Newport, RI has an amazing colonial port and some really great old houses to see.

The sky is the limit....just looking to break up the ride home to Western Mass. Any good beach resorts???

If you are going to Western Mass you would really be going out of your way to get to a beach.

Have you mapped out your route yet, if so that would be helpful to know.

Not really if we go to the NJ shore beaches.......

It sounds like you are set on wanting to stop at the beach. I would suggest either Ocean City or Wildwood beaches in NJ they both a nice beaches and fun boardwalks, although they really aren't half way, maybe 1/4 of the way. Even if you take 95 up you are looking about 1 1/2 - 2 hours east of where you will be.
