Washington,DC on a budget for a fam of 6?

Your welcome. Having the same dilemna with Disney. Have 4 children makes it really hard to go and stay on site and not spend $6000. I have tried every possible option with tickets, dining, staying in 2 value rooms or 1 value suite, in August, September, and October with non park hopping and it is still about $6000 not including flight or driving. we have not been to Disney since 2006 and I guess we will not be going anytime soon.

Chrissy,

I wish I could help you but Disney has just gotten so scary pricey! :furious:
It makes me so mad the way they keep raising prices. They bill it as the "Happiest Place On Earth" and they tout being so family friendly but the pricing is anything but! We used to always go in October but we havent been
since Feb. 2009 because its just crazy to spend that much money on one vacation! Our last time in 2009 was at AKL on a promo deal and we flew from Indianapolis and our price for that trip was over 9,000.00
Not to mention that after 48 hours on resort we all ended up with Norovirus that was running rampant on resort and in the parks. Nothing like  with trash cans in our laps because there was always someone on the toilet when you have 6 people sick within 12-24 hours of the first person. Ughhhhh! We had like 2 days of our 7 day tickets that we used before we were all so sick and it lasted 2-3 days a person before you could even keep water down. Never again!!!
