I'm going to D.C. tomorrow morning. You guys have an y museums or anything you recommend going to?

I'm so jealous!!! DC is one of my favorite places to visit! If you are looking for the top museums, I've got to say the American History and the Air and Space Museum. American history has pieces from pop culture (Mr Rogers sweater, Oscar the Grouch, Ruby Slippers), ballgowns worn by the First Ladies, and a bunch more really awesome stuff. They also just redid it recently (during my last 2008 trip) so it will be brand new! The Air and Space museum has planes, space crafts, and a bunch of interactive stuff...super cool.

Those are my top two, but other suggestions:
-National History Museum...see the Hope Diamond (and other jewels)
-Archives...see original Declaration, Constitution and Bill of Rights
-Go up in the Washington Monument (awesome view!)
-Union Station Metro Stop (really pretty building, shopping, and awesome food court)
-RIDE THE METRO AT LEAST ONCE!!!! (honestly one of my fav parts of DC)

And just enjoy it all. The way my family does it, it's a ton of walking and super exhausting but it's worth every minute of it. Have an AWESOME trip!!! :goodvibes

National Museum of Natural History
National Museum of American History

If the Newseum is open (not sure if it is or not), check that out.

I also very much enjoyed the Holocaust Museum, but it's sad.

Love D.C. both of my parents lived there one of the best restaraunts there is the Austin Grill it is Tex-Mex and is super good.

Well, you're probably there now, but I hope you had a great time. I live outside DC so I've kinda lost the excitement.

I've been to DC twice. I did a lot of the Smithsonian. It's really great. Especially the Museum of American History.

I would go to the Library of Congress. You have to get tickets, but it's soooo amazing there, I love it.

I went this past summer if you get the chance visit Mount Vernon it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen. and if you get the chance to see a play at the Kennedy Center Shear Madness is AMAZING!!!
