This reminds me of the time when my mother, for unknown reasons--possibly related to her medications, didn't wash the sheets on my bed alone for about two months. I was 11 at the time, and not allowed to run the washing machine. Finally I asked her about it, "Oh, every time I go to your room to get your sheets to wash, you've already made your bed." WTH? I still don't get it.

There wasn't a choice that works for me so I didn't vote....it's simply when I get around to it.

I get it. If the bed is made, there is NO WAY I'm doing it again! :rotfl:

At least every Sunday and depending on my mood maybe even more often. I love the feel of smooth soft sheets and very picky about my sheets all smooth and put on the bed correctly.

When my husband is in the bed, it's like having my own personal heater so the sheets get washed more frequently. I can't imagine taking a shower at night and then waking up 5 or so hours later and showering again. My hair would be bigger than 70s afros.

This. I change ours every 2- 3 weeks. Used to be more but my life is way too busy to do that these days. Lucky my bed gets made daily (I cannot stand an unmade bed).

My boys shower at night, usually. But DH and I cannot imagine starting the day off without a shower. Ewwwww.

Me neither. I don't get it. Someone takes a shower at 10pm. They are running around 12 hours later, meeting people at 10am and beyond and they haven't showered in 12 - 18 hours? :crazy2:

You're supposed to wash them?

J/K weekly, more if someone is sick

You mean sick enough to wash them more than once a week? :lmao: ;)

The thought of someone changing their sheets only once a month makes me feel . YUCK! You are in contact with that fabric for 8 hours every night for every night...would you wear the same pair of jeans for a month? Or the same pair of pajamas for a month? Or the same pair of socks for a month?

We change our sheets every weekend. Cannot imagine doing it less frequently because we let our puppy princess (a little French Bulldog) sleep in the bed with us). Would love to do it more, but I hate doing laundry.

I try to change them weekly but in all honesty sometimes they will go 2-3 weeks. In the summer I change them 2-3 times a week sometimes.

get ready for this. When I started dating my DH 15 years ago I noticed his sheets were really gross. We had just started dating but I had to say something as I was not going to sleep in that bed. I asked him when was the last time he changed his sheets. His answer :NEVER! Meaning they had gome a year or possibly 2 years without being changed:sick: They were full of food and crumbs as he ate in the bed and he had had quite a few girlfriends over the time sharing that bed with him:scared1: He didn't even think it was a big deal. That should have been my first clue, but he had grown up in a house with a single dad. To this day I have never seen my DH do a load of laundry, I do it all (I also do 99% of the other housework but that's a whole other thread:laughing:)

I change ours less than once a month....really just when I think about it. I couldn't tell you the last time I changed them. Maybe need to do that this weekend :rolleyes1

DS who is 7 gets his changed monthly if not more often.

Same here! We have our sheets changed at least every Monday and Thursday and the kids sheets usually changed the same, more frequently if they're sick, have an accident, etc.

Is your wife the one doing the twice weekly changing?

No, we have a cleaning lady who does them for us, along with the general laundry and stuff. I usually handle the middle of the night potty accidents and my wife usually handles the vomit.

That's what I thought. :) For most people doing the job themselves, changing them twice a week isn't a priority.

I have a thing for fresh crisp sheets, so at least 2x a week. My German Shepard sleeps on the floor next to me, her bed is also washed at least 2x a week. I love the smell of Downy Fresh:thumbsup2

Me too, this thread has me wantin' to buy more sheets just to have some brand new ones! :lmao:

It's something that I've never had to do, same with making the bed. My wife makes sure all that is taken care of.

Why isn't 'yearly' an option? :lmao:

I'll take my shower in the morning thank you.

As far as it being "gross"... I don't think about things like that. I really don't. We wash the sheets when we get around to it (or if something has gotten spilled, although we don't eat or drink in bed).

A lot of things that people think are "gross" just don't bother me...
"5 second rule"... depending on the item, that could be a "15 second rule".:rotfl:

OK, I can't think of others... because they don't bother me I guess. :rotfl:
