We plan to bring a couple sippy cups for my son and a couple big cups for ourselves. How does everyone wash their cup throughout the week? Do you just bring dish soap and wash it in the bathroom sink?

That's pretty much how you'd have to do it.

I have Palmolive dish cloths ... they have the dish soap "built right in", are small to pack, and no chance of anything exploding in your suitcase. ;) And I find that if I'm only washing out refillable mugs, I can get a couple days use out of one sheet.

I soak sponges in dish detergent and dry them and then cut them up into smaller squares. Works like a charm and you aren't taking liquids on the airplane.

I get some heavy duty paper towels. At home I put maybe 1/2 tsp worth of liquid dish detergent on each one. Fold them into quarters and put in a ziplock bag. This works great to wash our cups on board or at the resorts and is easy to pack.

Like PPs have said, heavy duty paper towels and dish soap.

Though on this next trip I'm thinking of bringing a "bin" or tupperware of some sort so that I can wash it in there w/the soap and using the sink only to rinse.

You could use a clean sand bucket/toy. Washing dishes in the ship and playing in the sand at the beach. Just a thought

I just make sure my cups have enough alcohol in them that they get sanitized each fill up.

ROFL... This is just what DH would say. Me .. I use the presoap soaked sponge deal. I cut into 6 squares and we are good to go.

when we travel with mugs I take a cheap sponage make a strong dishsoap solution, saturate the sponage, let it dry then cut them into cubes, and put them in a baggie, then when we need one, then we just pull out a cube, and get it wet to use it

I buy the Handi-Wipe disposable dish cloths, cut into quarters, then drizzle with dish soap. Let them dry, fold them, and put in a ziplock. Preloaded dish cloths!

I too use a cut up sponge..works like a charm:)Best part, it doesn't take up room and when I am done, toss them in the garbage...

At Walmart in the camping section, they have sponges already soaked with dish soap. Very inexpensive, didn't think about doing them myself!

At Babies R Us you can buy a small bottle of the Baby Ganics foaming bottle/cup wash. This is under the TSA allowance for airline carryon, so you can even take it on a plane to wash cups in the airport if necessary. It works really well and rinses much cleaner than most dishsoap. We have been using the same bottle for 2 vacations now.
