Just wondering if there is a washer & dryer available at the dvc at the ak lodge

All 1-bedroom and larger units have a washer & dryer in the villa. If you are in a studio, there is a laundry room available for use. The machines are free but you will need to buy or bring your own laundry detergent.

Yes, those washer/driers get a workout! I packed for 3 days during my most recent 10 night trip! Just came home and all I have to do is unpack...not lotsa of laundry!

Not sure if you are familiar with them, but a number of members are bringing the Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets.

those sound like a good idea i never used them
but they will work great

The Purex sheets are really great...except they sometimes leave a "oil" spot on black and dark clothes. I stopped using them because of that.

When I was at WLV earlier this month...I found the laundry room, but it looked like you either had to pay...or is it some kind of token system?

Even though they appear to be coin operated, they are free to use.

I don't know what we would do without the laundry rooms. I don't like to check our luggage on the plane, so we pack with the minimum amount needed so we can bring our bags onboard. I always plan on doing laundry one night. And since they washers/dryers are free, it is perfect.

Our first few stays in studios we did laundry and I paid for it each time. Then finally learned here that the you just start the machines without the coins. I felt really stupid but one of my lessons learned.
