While planning the cruise a 2nd time Im finding Im not giving a care about what DH wears, what we do for excursions, if we go to Serenity Bay first or family beach, etc. In other words, just get me on the ship and whatever happens, happens.

I think you'll have a much better time by not worring about all those little details. I think it will be a lot more fun than going onto the ship already knowing what you'll order for dinner every night(what if they changed menus?) Worrying about your husband not being in a tux(you're never going to see any of those people again anyway!) Knowing exactly what you wanted to do at every minute(you and the others from 11/30 know better than many that things don't always play out as you planned.) I like your new attiitude. Just go, read the Navigators and plan each day as it comes.

Have a great time!

I'm not planning down to every detail like I did for our first cruise. I'm still going to do the ressie rush, because we are going on a 4 day this time versus our 7 day and I want to go to Palo and do the lady's night at the spa. I'm not doing any excursion, because nothing appeals to me and I don't feel like I HAVE to go on an excursion like I did last time. I just want to be on the boat and enjoy the boat!

I am having a fine time researching excursions to do on our own. I figure Disney doesn't need all my vacation money.

We are shoping sales for DS and DD's clothes for formal night. I don't mind buying a long skirt for an 11 yr. old when it is under $10.00. I know what worked well for us last trip, and what didn't. I know which shows I want to see and what I'll skip this time. I know if I miss and excersise class that the work out room will do just as well. I know my teens won't be around as much as I expected and that my pre-teen maybe around more than I expected. In that respect, this is a much more laid back experience.

In other respects it may not be. There are lots of things I want to do again, and things I didn't try last time that I would like to try this time. I expect my first two hours on the ship to be a ressie scramble, but as a vet, of two previous ressie scrambles, that should be no big deal.

It's nice to see other's in the same mode as myself. Prior to the first cruise, I read and planned, read and planned. This time, I am so much more relaxed. We have not planned any shore excursions this time. The only thing we really are aiming for is that cable car ride. We may just shop and enjoy the less crowded ship in port.
One thing caught my eye in these posts though... a ladies night at the spa? Would someone explain that??

thanks all!

Peachy....it is only on the 3 and 4 day spa. It consists of a massage, facial and the rainforest with champange and chocolate covered strawberries. They only offer it twice on one night with very limited seating. It is something I haven't done yet and want to do.

imgoingtodisney...these boards are still as addicting if not more so though!

We are doing the Western 7 day in December for our honeymoon. I too am not going to plan out every min. Im really looking forward to spending some time enjoying our room. Last cruise I dont even think I sat on the couch once!

We had a great time last March. Some things I have to do again, others...well, we'll see. Must do...get up 6 - 7 am get croissant and coffee and relax in the jacuzzi until 8 am. After that go back to the room, greet my awakening family, and whatever happens after that is up to them! Looking forward to a relaxing (and fire free!) cruise.

I guess I'm the loner here! Our first 3-day with the kids, I was clueless, except for the DCL video and brochure! Knew nothing about ressie's etc. and had no plan! Since it was only the 3-day, we pretty much spent every minute looking at the Kids Navs. and never really had a chance to look at the adult things.

This time (just DH & me), I've found this board which I've been on every day since Oct. I've learned where I need to be the first day and have looked over old Navs. to get a feel for when things are. I know which shows I don't want to see again and what I want to be doing in place of the shows. I'd say I've done more planning for this one, but will still relax and enjoy 4 glorious days alone with my DH! ;)
