Hello! We will be visiting next April and my now 17 month old will be about 2 and 2 months by then. We are doing a split stay and were orginally planning on starting at POR (the other two resorts we are doing are AKL and GF). It turns out that my husband may have to arrive a couple days after us for work (it is a trip with other family going at same time so can't move dates). Since it will just be me, my 2 yo and my 12 yo son I was thinking about moving to POP to save some money (nearly $500 since we were doing preferred at POR!) since we won't really need as much space and my husband will only be there 1-2 nights.

My long-winded question is, should I also consider ASMO or AOA for the themeing? I can't quite rememeber how into that type of stuff my older son was at that age. As of right now he has no interest really but I know a lot can change in the time before we go. Thank you for any insight!

We have stayed at both Pop and All-Star Movies. We stayed at All-Star Movies when my son was 2 and at Pop when he was 3. He loved the theme and the huge characters. The ones at All-Star Movies were more recognizable to him. He especially loved the Toy Story area. We stayed in that area when he was 2. We were headed to the pool when I stopped to take this photo. He couldn't pass RC without getting in for a minute or two.

At 2, my DS wasn't interested in characters or theming at all. In fact, he was pretty scared of the characters at that age. We stayed at the Poly when he was 2 and he was more interested in simply walking down the paths at the resort by himself than anything else. We literally could have taken him to any hotel and he would have been happy as a clam. If you prefer one of the other hotels and the pricing is the same, go for it! But I think PoP would be just fine!

This is too cute! Thank you for sharing! That is what kind of got me looking at ASMo is the fact that they have some more comtemporary theming. Thank you!

Thank you!

My 2 year old loved meeting Mickey Mouse and Buzz and Woody. He was a bit shy at first but the grin he had was priceless. My than 6 month old daughter was more like what the heck look on her face.
