Driving towards the Cherry Creek Mall I saw these words "Was it worth it?" sprawled across a buiding in orange graffiti. For me I immediatly thought of the Saddam Hussein Hanging. I think that this war for this man wasn't worth it. I mean if we look at this situation I think that we are murderers to. Just think of how many people won't have a family member home for the holidays. To never see your mom or dad ever again. There are 18 years old dying left and right for a war that in my opinion should have never happened.

To the point, if you were to see this message outside of your window what would you think it meant? What would you think about? I would be very interested to know :)

Thanks in advance for all who post!

P.S. Don't chew me out, just my opinion!

:confused3 Honestly???? The first thing that pops into my mind is that someone was unfaithful...their S.O found out and left a message that they would see. But thats just me.

I would think that any thug who would desecrate a building with graffiti would not be interested in world politics. More likely he is bemoaning his buddy or his crack ho that smoked too much rock.....or maybe crystal meth....:confused3

Is this the Cherry Creek mall in Denver? And were you travelling down Speer?

Assuming yes, with the orange paint, my guess is that somebody was commenting on the senselessness of the drive by gang shooting of Bronco Darrent Williams.

No more interesting than your assumption.

I would need to know what it is.;)

I don't care what the reason for the message was since it was graffiti.

I don't know what you meant by this.

Just because it was graffiti doesn't make it any less meaningful. I know that defacing buildings is wrong but this is their way of showing their feelings. I think that some graffiti is very beautiful.

How did you know that it was in Denver? That is probably a stupid question but oh well.

I was also trying to ask what you would think of it no matter where you lived.

I could see where the connection would be with the Bronco Football player (RIP) with the color orange but I still don't understand what that would mean. As you said it was "senseless". Where they trying to ask was it worth it to kill a good player on the team?

If I saw "Was it worth it?" I would right away think about the hot fudge sunday that I cheated on my diet with - and I think the answer would be "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

For an exhilirating moment I thought this thread would be about one of my favorite Pet Shop Boys songs.

First thought that popped into my head when I saw the title to your thread: a Beatles song, A Hard Day's Night

It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright

You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say
You're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel OK

When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah

It's been a hard day's night and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright owww

So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel OK

When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah

It's been a hard day's night and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright

:confused3

I dont know what it means - but I have to say your opinion of Saddam not being worth it irked me. Does it suck how many US deaths have occured? Of course it does - HOWEVER you can compare Saddam Hussein to Hitler, and was invading Germany worth it? Of course it was.

Yes your Saddam comment is true CathrynRose but isn't it true that we already did what we wanted to accomplish in this war? Why are we not backing out?

This was what I thought when I read the OP...not the war but Darrent Williams shooting.

Oh. I guess this was not the way I was trying to take this thread so I am not going to reply to it anymore. Thank you anyways.
