Was I hallucinating?

I could have sworn this morning (or was it last night), when I logged on the DISBoard, there was a list of user names that were "browsing the site at that time". It was cool. I could see who was not only logged on to the DISBoard (which we always can see on the home page), but actually see which section they were browsing. It was a list at the top of the page under the moderators list.

Okay....was I dreaming this?

Was the feature not supposed to be viewed by me? I can delete my original message (or you can delete the thread) if I stumbled into forbidden territory by accident.

Nope not at all Granny! The feature was something new with the upgrade. It was a feature though that I think most did not want.

I sure hope they take out the "Who's Online" forum jump as well... that is positively CREEPY.

I've been on the internet enough times to know that I am leaving electronic footprints whereever I go, so the "Who's Online" and even the "Who's Browsing" I find more interesting than disturbing.

I don't find any of it creepy....CREEPY to me is the clown slide at Boardwalk!

Oh, I know I leave footprints, I just think it is disturbing that people besides the webmasters - every person who logs into this site either as a registered member or as a guest - knows which forum or which post I am reading at the moment. It is voyeuristic and intrusive. Don't like it. Not one bit. I have gone invisible. I know the webmasters know where I am but I don't want everyone to know.

I'm glad you asked this question - I was convinced I'd went off the deep end...

Probably in a minority on this, but I thought the feature was nice. When responding to a comment or answering a question, you know if the other party is still around.

We can always go "invisible" when venturing into the Universal Studios forums...
