Has anyone done this (or the Hiwaymans' supper)? If so, what did you think? Were most people (guests) dressed in period costumes? How was the food? The atmostphere? The fun? A couple DISers and I are planning a trip to England and the Kingmaker's Feast sounds neat!

Thank you in advance!

Hiya,

I haven't been to Warwick castle but my parents have been a couple of times - don't think they've done this meal but I can ask them if they know anything about it for you.

Also you might want to try posting on the uK community board :)

Best Wishes,
Gaspodé

I have been there, but it was quite a while ago..... But, from what I remember -

- Yes, they dressed in costumes with serving wenches providing MEAD...

- Everyone sat at long wooden tables, so that you could meet other people who were not in your party.

- The food was mostly meat and potatoes type meals - mutton I think...

- The MEAD was quite good.... :cool1:

Been there but have not done this dinner...GREAT place though. So interesting...beautiful countryside

Have not done the dinner but Warwick was one of my favorite spots of the entire trip. Incredible place. Enjoy!

We were just there this summer. Not for the dinner though, I do remember reading there is an age restriction of 18 because of drinking. The castle itself was great!
