In my warranty deed it sates that i will have an undivided intrest in a particular unit# at old key west. Is this stating this unit is the only one that i can reserve, and if not what is the meaning? I hope i am misunderstanding my thought was you could request any unit at the resort's! Please tell me I am correct !!

No, it's just a representation for what you own. At OKW I think all "units" are entire buildings. You own an undivided interest in a given building and that has nothing to do with what you can reserve. The only issues where the unit you own would come into play that I can think of is for voting purposes and if part but not all of your resort were destroyed and that section were closed down permanently. In that case whether your building (unit) was included or not would determine whether you remained a member or your membership were terminated.

If you are like most, you will find that after years of going you will have still never stayed in the unit you own. To the DVC member and the DVC system, points are gold, nirvana, the things of great value, the most important things in the world, the things that fill your dreams at night and make you pine for more. But as a matter of law they are deemed worthless. They are mere symbols that represent what the law considers to be what you actually own of value: a percentage real estate interest in a unit at your home resort. A "unit" is usually a cluster of room (at OKW it is a building). You own a piece of that rock. If you ever go to sell, that is what you will sell, not your worthless points. And if you ever call for a reservation and ask the MS representative to put in a request that you be given a room in your own "unit," you will get back 60 seconds of silence on the other end, during which the rep is asking everyone in the office what the heck you are talking about and he comes back and says , "That is not one of the requests recognized by the computer."
